This is absolutely real. Those blue sparks you see in a portion of this video are more lithium cells bursting and shorting out, causing more heat to be generated, causing the fire to keep going. These fires are notoriously difficult if not impossible to extinguish. They can rekindle days after the fire is put out.

This might only act as a suppressant and not an extinguisher. But I think your best bet would be a magnesium powder based extinguisher and I believe that that falls in the b class of extinguishers. Provided you're using the American class system of fire extinguishers because that's all I know..... Other countries probably do it differently

For lithium battery fires, use a Class D fire extinguisher. Avoid using water as it can worsen the fire.

Hi, I am looking at prizmatic or cylindrical cells, I have seen that you can get both in the same capacity like both 15 or 20AH but the cylindrical is much smaller so I wonder if they actually give the same power or or if there is something i have missunderstood...
