How many Band's could boast of 3 universe class singers...a songwriter of the finest quality and class and certainly the most brilliant , majestic and superb musician of the Rock era in Garth Hudson ? Not too many . The most admired and respected group of musicians ever produced ...anywhere ! The Band ...

Lost a bit of respect for Coverdale how he handled the Sykes termination. The fact that it bothered Sykes for several decades says a lot about the situation.

why so negative and mean to a deceased person, who is a great artist, a kind and an animal-lover, she has a home, not homeless, no matter what, no need to dig the gargabe to commemorate a great artist. Can always find something positive about a person to say, and at the same time to elevate the heart of the viewers. Please.

Those who follow Van Halen don't need a book to know what Michael Anthony did or didn't do as a bassist in the band. My point of view is: Michael was the best fit for the band and was a steady performer and performed amazingly awesome. His bass riffs are legendary and his stage show was captivating. Sammy was/is smart to have him as is bassist in everything he does. He is irreplaceable. Yes, Michael is that good. I'm so glad to see Michael taking the high road on this topic and there is nothing he needs to read. He has a clear conscious about what he has done.

There's very little about Mike in Alex's book. Beyond the history of him joining the band, then he goes on to talk about how he was a great vocalist, musician and friend. Alex's book ended pretty much when Dave left. He admitted that VH had more success after Dave, but it's clear his heart is with O.G.Van Halen

I’d say that the Sammy era was definitely better for their live shows but their best studio releases were definitely from their Roth era

Everything David did to John was a lie! Look at John after 2000! There is no way we can forgive David for doing the worst thing a human being can do. He will go down in history as the worst person in rock history.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I work for whitesnake during that entire time and I was in and out of the studio when they were recording that album and that's not exactly what happened. It's a little deeper than that. But if you want to make up a story of your own and you feel better about it you go for it. I know what really happened because I was there. Where were you chump 😮

@@chriskroll4166Was it a power struggle? Did they both have creative differences? Did John want to sing on some tracks? Did they just not get along? I heard John tried to go behind Daves back, while he was out with a sinus infection and record the album without him and take over as the lead singer. Only you know what's true and what's not.
@chriskroll4166
@chriskroll4166 9 күн бұрын
@@thomasbrown2465 David was at home and he was having sinus and throat problems and he was trying to get his voice back up to shape to go into the studio. John had created that big wall of sound he has and when he started laying down the tracks they sent them over to Coverdale and David was afraid to come down because he couldn't believe the big sound John was getting and he didn't think his voice was up to par. So David was stalling and writing lyrics and trying to come up with melodies at home and all the time this was happening the guys at the studio thought David was being a prima donna and ghosting them. So of course they all got uptight and started making plans to bail including the people in the studio and the management. By the time David came down and lay down the vocals the band was starting to fall apart. So David wasn't jealous of John at all he was just intimidated by the demo tapes they were bringing over to him because they were so powerful that he was wondering if he could live up to it. When you listen to still of the night you got to admit it's like the biggest sound you've ever heard and either you could sing over that or you will come up short. So it was more of a misunderstanding.
