I use one of them and i don't like the guiding software. It is not confortable for a simple action you should do a lot of clicks the path is too long for elementary things it is just not userfriendly and that costs time money and putting so.much amount of.force in something easy by default. The support is also awful just search for another supplier of equipment.

This shows how to check a micrometer but not how to calibrate it if it is off. Can you correct a micrometer that is off as in adjusting the barrel? Do you need to send it back to the manufacturer if it doesn't pass there tests.

The Japanese company name Mitutoyo roughly translatable as “abundance of three elements”. The number three, in Japanese, pronounced “Mitu” or “Mitsu”. The company name is usually spelled in the Kunrei-shiki/Nihon-shiki manner "Mitutoyo". Because most publications for foreigners as of 2000 require the usage of Hepburn romanization, as of 2000 in the Tokyo Anglophone yellow pages the company name is rendered in the Hepburn style "Mitsutoyo".

@@MitutoyoAmerica thank you for the response. Then why is it that all North American machine shops say "Mitutoyo" without the 's'?

Both pronunciations are correct. When people question why we pronounce the name with the “S” sound, we like to let them know its reasoning.

They are correct. 1. Set parameters. 2. Calibrate to those parameters. 3. Test run equipment within parameters, record conditions. 4. Review findings, adjust accordingly until proper goals are met. 5. Perform final test WITH customer/client present, have customer/client accept and SIGN OFF on repair/job. If you don’t do this you become another worthless parts swapper.

This is fantastic! Those button cells are so annoying! Recently I tried doing a similar thing with a mini lipo and a BMS but it was a complete overkill, this seems like the perfect solution. I've been getting into pcb deisgn lately and now im super interested in developing a board that conects with a small 3D printed part so that it can retrofit all the calipers that have this standard battery lid. Maybe pogo connectors, or thin metal strips, to give a snap on funcionality that only requires sliding the new lid? Gosh im super excited now😂, i think 2 layer boars would be enough, and we could add smd components to make it extra compact! Great video! Thanks for sharing, cheers!

After watching the video, I became more concerned about the calibration process. My reasons for concern stem from the undefined aparent wiggling of the caliper to hunt for the measurements. How about the force applied? Undefined. The calibrated caliper will be used to make Accept vs. Reject decisions. However, its calibration process doesn’t inspire that much confidence to me.
