Dude, you're selling it really well. I watched some other videos about Heartland before I found yours and I was all but sold on it until I found out about the no pet policy. That's literally the only thing that would prevent me from pursuing a gig there as I have a cat. I can't imagine why carriers would have a no pet policy. They're good for drivers mental health. But I digress. Have you heard any rumblings about them possibly changing that policy ever?

So I'd say this, A lot of companies (especially when your newer to trucking) are going to take the 1st three months to test you and see if your gonna be a decent driver for them. I think you might need to stay out a bit longer with heartland living in that area, I've heard and seen that the West Coast has less freight than mid west and east coast. I can tell you this, having been a driver for almost 7 years, in the current economic environment heartland is gonna be on if the better compa is rn. Especially if you don't want driver facing cameras or micro managing dispatchers/safety departments. I know it can be a bit frustrating to not get a lotta miles, but remember why we have our pay guarantee as well. And listen I feel your pain, I've been in a hotel for 10 days due to repeated breakdowns and issues myself lol There will be ups and downs that's trucking, it comes in 4 year cycles of up(high miles) and 2 - 3 years of down (low miles). We are ending our down cycle rn so give it a few more months, try extending yourself out to 6 weeks before hometime and see how that goes.

There is an off-site parking lot they have there. And it's fcfs so u can show up as soon as they open or a day early if you can swing it. Morehouse is a really good company. My main gripe with them is the driver facing cameras they had installed. I don't like them as a principle I worked there almost a year and had no issues with them other than that. They have decent freight to keep you moving if you stay out atleast a few weeks, The insurance frankly isn't good but that's not something I really care about, The trucks are exceptionally clean and well taken care of, the trailers are cool especially the color matched ones. And for a small company they have a decent amount of drop n hook freight. Decent pay with a 1cpm increase after first year, apus, and 70mph ain't bad :) Make sure your respectful and nice and they'll be great coworkers there. Only advice is don't take juniors grumpiness personal, hes just kinda grumpy sometimes but he's a good dude same for Joel !

I loved Leonard's till things started going sideways. I should have pulled the cord when my spidy sences were going off. They have ZERO HR. When my buddy at the time had a question for Lindsay, she said, and i quote, "it's not my job," with no redirect to get his question answered. It was like HS cool kids club. Bro, I was terminated for looking at my gps too much and guages. Twice I was misdirected by both the Omnitracs gps, which they openly say do not follow. My app had gotten me into two real sketchy exits where one was an old rundown highway off I-80 with a blind no return. The other was exiting Loredo, where i was directed 17 miles rural back roads. Im sure any trucker has experience with events like this. It's my first year, so hell yeah, i looked twice, maybe three times. They did me the same as your buddy. Exactly the same. My truck Def kept regenerating and powering down. Three times at terminal, three times written up, two times broke down for over week and a half each. It was a nightmare, thank god my wife was with me to witness it all. Headlights were set where other truckers were pist and leaving their highbeams and auxiliaries on assuming i was driving with my highbeams on. By the end of my night drive, my eyes were fried. There was no safety on the subject. When addressed with Amy it was brushed off. When i heard a eastern gentleman address the same issue i knew it wasnt just me. The wife and I started recording video of my truck after shit wasn't getting fixed. They said they had a picture of me with my phone in hand. Guys, don't accept pictures and request video.. you can be at a shipper, stopped in traffic or on break. I was flagged all over per their claims. I also was told I had unreported damage by Rob but my truck was driven by multiple shop mechanics during Def repairs in Nebraska at two different shops, in Denver and at the yard. Go figure when I cleaned out my truck I had logged out of Omnitracs, but when I came back, I was logged in... go figure. I agree with everything you said. 65 at the peddle 68 cruse and 72 downhill max. I wanna say Leonard's is a good company and from my expierence NY is A-Listers all the way. Caldwell is games and hustle. It's my limited expierence in trucking and my up and comings. Best of luck Leonard's or not.
