Have you had any frame issues pop up? I want to buy a Husqvarna 354xd but the complaints about the frames are scaring me.

No problems. Last time I heard, frame issues were from attaching attachments while not following their limited load capacities such as overloading a front end bucket loader.

There are updated (doubled) support rails on the front of the frame, all newer models should come with them already updated from the factory. If you were to have a problem with the rear frames axle mounting tabs, there is a rear axle bracket reinforcement kit available for 30-40$ from Husqvarna and ayp that will beef up the rear so you don’t have to worry about it again. Lotta guys nowadays would rather cry and complain like professional victims than touch a tool, turn five bolts and quietly fix a man’s issue like a damn man and just get on with life. It’s not a complicated contraption if it does break, it has less parts and a far better assembly manual than your erector set had when you were a kid so don’t be intimidated just because if you work it super hard you just might have to bolt a couple angle brackets to the back side of it using grown up tools and real nuts and bolts. People make it sound like a tragic situation with no easy solution just for the pity and confirmation of their victim hood. You could just work it 110% as hard as your ever going to for the first season so that if it is going to break anytime soon, it should do it during that stress test while and still under warranty so it won’t be your problem. Stuff breaking is not something to look forward to but this kind of stuff breaking is not worth complaining about because you could have it fixed by the time you explain the situation to someone who cares. The tex frame problems were all hype from abusive owners from the beginning, now half of the issue is history and the other while possible costs less than $50 and takes less than a day to fix. If you’re a man about it. 👊

@@mindsablank8061 Yes, I found out the hard way that even "small" twigs left in the path of the mower will cause the spindle mounts to break. Don't let the kids accidentally leave any marshmallows on the ground either!

Frankly, they both do a good job and are dependable machines. I chose the Husqy because it's less expensive, parts & labor will be far less expensive. So far my Husqy has been running top notch. Thanks for your comment.

One of these summers I’m going to have a smooth turf to mow and just take it easy. Our homestead has a 2.5 acre yard but it was neglected for many many years. Homes everywhere and stumps and rocks

No, I really don't mind mowing and the 48' deck makes it easier to get around. This is good mower with the Kawasaki engine & K66 hydrostatic transmission. I had zero problems with the mower this past summer after logging over 40 hours on it.

@@jeromeprzybilla9999 I've only seen it advertised with the Kohler engine so far. Also Tuff Torq transmission, not sure if that is a K66 but says "commercial grade hydrostate electric locking differential".

My mower is a 2018. the newer models no longer have the Kawasaki and I believe no longer have the K66. I specifically ordered the mower with the Kawasaki engine as well as the K66, I forget the model number of mine and I ordered it from my local small engine repair shop.

@@jeromeprzybilla9999 , The "X" designates Kawasaki engine, which is still available, and the "D" designates locking differential. This TS348XD model shown in the video has the Kawasaki engine, locking differential, and 48 inch deck. I'm picking this same model up from Lowes next week. The K66 is still used in both the D ands XD models of the TS garden tractor. The difference between the D and XD models is primarily that the XD uses a Kawasaki engine while the D uses a Kohler, and the XD also has round dash gauges showing amps and hours.

It's a good mower. Seems to cut the grass evenly & without scalping despite the very rough lawn I have constructed by all the underground rodents. The seat is soft and comfortable. Tires don't leave skid marks while going around obstacles. Good traction while climbing a 35 degree road bank without needing posi locked in. Easily steers. The deck height adjuster should have been on the right so you don't get hung up while dismounting the mower.😶 It's a keeper. Thanks for checking in!
