Few weeks in owning such system: For initial connection, no account needed. Without account, you can do basic setup of home, see temperatures, control settings of each thermostat, configure all bits. For seeing trend graphs, updates of software and access outside of home, am account is needed. I started off without one, then added it when I saw no trends visible without. It is possible to invite family members / other persons to see and adjust home too if desired and multiple devices can connect with same account too.

@@carstenschmedes6599 i think only way to create the accoun is via the app. My password manager lists url as uponorsmatrix.com but no such site exists, so it has been internally routed in app. Same credentials do not work in online, so i believe smatrixpulse for consumers is different to the corporate one. Found a bug at - 18c and colder in reporting, should be fixed as online update soon. Hard to tell as not too often seen temperatures. I like the look of units, central control etc but dislike trend graphs cut to one week. Will get other tool to poll api for temperatures at some point to get yearly data in local db as the service does not provide it. I can recommend the basic components but the added premium for web features does not really provide much for normal user. And for tinker, still needs something additional to get good reporting. I replaced 230v system and now replacement of parts does not need electrician and 100e + visit every time as this is 24v. As old had 3 broken actuators and noisy thermostats, this is much better. Also now we have one thermostat controlling two actuators in kitchen and livingroom and not fixed screw to other as before.

I know get super dirty and use nasty hands when installing water pipes!
