That’s a great old workhorse of a Jeep Pickup. Building that dump bed adds a lot of extra value and capability to that machine. American Iron all the way!

Finally, I got to see it in action. I can't really tell but are hinges at the end of a stock chassis or did you trim it back to allow over hang. I have a 2011 dually that might serve me as a dump bed project. Thanks for the videos.

Good information, I’ll be doing that in the future on my 1994 F250 4x4. Looks like I’ll use larger hydraulic cylinders…

You should’ve had your rams the other way, your putting stress against your hinges. If your just hauling a few wheelbarrow loads of dry leaves then you should be fine. Your angle of the rams are not going to be very productive if you have some actual weight up front. You should always have at least an inch of your ram out and not in all the way because when a ram is bottomed out all the way in you won’t have the force it would compared to it out an inch. I have just a single ram and has plenty of power to raise the bed and not putting stress on the system. Not giving you any crap just making some suggestions to help you out. 👍

Dont think any of them go straight vertical. Good ideas, low profile and no huge scissor frame brackets and mechanism to deal with. Good stuff!

Nice!! Great job ! I noticed the tubing is not braced where the cylinders pin on the frame of the truck and the bed if you have a weak spot that will be it . But if you don't load it to the hydraulic power capacity it will probably be fine . If you are like me you will load the wagon 10-4... keep on building!!

I haul my YM2220D with shredder and FEL on a 20ft trailer with my Mojave. It does fine. I use a 2500 Ram for longer/larger loads. My 20ft trailer empty is tongue heavy. Might get out the weight distribution hitch if I do a longer trip with the Mojave.

DO you have a model number on cylinders? I try looking for 24" but most have like a 1" shaft or 1.25" which seem thin to me. Would you know the diameter of the shaft on these?

That was a good video it’s nice to see someone towing a tractor with a Jeep, I just purchased a Rubicon gladiator and I really like it I’m only towing a small off-road modified teardrop trailer, but it’s kind of cool to see someone tow a tractor with a gladiator, I am in the agricultural business and drive tractors daily but I have a ram 1 ton since I tow 15,000 pounds daily but if I had a small tractor like yours the gladiator would be awesome. You can always upgrade your gladiator to heavier springs in the back and re-gear if needed. I don’t know anything about the Chinese tractors, since I only tow Green!! enjoy that gladiator and grease Grease and more grease on the tractor!!!!👍👍👍👍

I think using grease (axle or bearing) to pack the pump for priming is a bad idea. Most greases stay thick even at elevated temperatures, which may cause problems with oil flow. Petroleum jelly (white petrolatum) works best, because it melts (becomes liquid) at only 125 degrees fahrenheit, and will dissolve into the motor oil.

Been thinking of doing this with my 76 J10. I rebuilt the 2100 carb and fixed the heater pipes and it does open up.. but not fully unless i tap it with a finger.. and then it doesnt close when cold unless i tap it. I tried lubing it but it doesnt work right. Not sure i wanna keep messing with it and thinking of doing something like this. Arr you closing the throttle plates with the cable pushed in though ? It should be open fully when warmed up. If it isnt youll get terrible gas mileage. This is the total oposite is what it should be. The choke should be pulled partially open when you start the car. And pulled fully open when warmed up. Then pushed back closed when its cold. Thats how the choke works. If yoire pushing it fully closed after its started up itll give you absolutetly terrible gas mileage

For anyone doing this.. You should always prime the carb bowel with fuel and i dont like using ethere.. a tiny spray like he did isnt enough.. just pour a little fuel in the carb after you pour fuel in the bowl to prime it The carb will start instantly like that and itll prime the fuel pump faster
