Thank you for this video!!! There are many instructional videos with excellent instructors. I have tried so hard to bead a cabachon. It always comes out wonky. You do yours a little bit differently and, what can I say, ':) you got the magick. I think I will be able to do it straight and right for once, lol. I made this video early on in my beading journey. I didn’t have the contacts I have now for beading supplies. I can’t remember where I got the skull but the kiddos liked them! I had a phone grip with this cab for ages!

You could add a thread guard on either side of the finished piece and attach the bracelet that way

The beads are size 11 czech. The awareness pin and the phone grip tutorials explain the process you can screen shot a picture of the pattern if you wish to copy it.

The beads are all size 10. This was early on in my beading journey and I only used 10s. I mostly use 11s now.

The Cabochon is glued to stiff felt. The backing is vinyl. I also use leather grade cork, moose hide and buck skin.

I glued and tied down my cab and it came unglued still and messed up all my nice beadwork and now it's all bunched up ): any tips ??

Try using a polymer glue like E6000 to glue your cab down. If using a gem type cab use fabric tac. Make sure you’re using stiff felt (pellon) to bead on.

The thread is called Nymo nylon beading thread. There are different thicknesses for different types of beading. I typically use size B.

The beads for this project can be any size you choose. I used size 10 seed beads and a size 11 beading needle. Size 10 is a great beginner sized bead. The largest of the seed beads. As the number goes up the size gets smaller. Hope this helps!

@@kimpilz9953 banding comes in many different sizes and styles. There’s also metal banding as well as plastic. Some have rhinestone and some have beads. So yes, you can find banding to match the size of your beads.

Fantastic video! Beautiful work. Be careful with that E6000. It is not safe for anything other than glass or stone cabochons. It can eat through Nymo and other nylon threads as well as plastics, crystals, resins, etc.! 🧡
