Exposure CBT crap is analogy of being afraid of fire - so CBT tells us to expose in order to desensitize ourselves to fire. But what CBT does not warn us - is that we are soaked in oil and petrol - which will burn us severely when we expose ourselves. Oil Petrol = internalized toxic shame, poverty and oppression, living in narcissistic abuse and mobbing which we cannot quit. Also if we desensitize ourselves to abuse - we will never leave abusers, we will enable the abuse and we will rationalize criminally insane predatory personalities. So CBT exposure BS - is forcing us to become slaves and codependent pushovers stuck in abuse and trauma bonding.

Oppression, poverty, abuse is outside of our control. Idea that we can fix external elements with our thoughts is sign of mental illness: narcissism and schizofrenia.

But what if meditation just makes dissociating and being stuck in fight or flight worse? I'd recommend movement. Music Therapy, screaming in the woods ect ect... You need to get the trauma oute of the body. Need to release it. Meditation will make disossiatiom worse...

I do not understand. So if we have no money - we need to say - be poor more? If we are abused at home or at work - we need to develop sado-masochism?

You are committing error here called Fundamental attribution error. You are convinced that anxiety is sole product of brain. You are totally ignoring toxic people and predatory personalities like narcissistic abusers who are pathological liars and skilled in exploiting others. Who are the source of anxiety - not our brain.

So if we are in car with serial killer - like in the movie Woman of the hour - and we need to tell ourselves "I'm safe"?

Correct. Social anxiety is Emotional Flashback. It is regression to ACoA childhood where we experienced emotional abuse and emotional neglect - being hijacked to dysfunctional childhood filled with toxic shaming and criticism and micromanaging. It is emotional hijacking, Amygdala hijacking. To snap out of it - we need to realize that this hijacking appears as our identity - but it is not. Panic, dread, catastrophizing - these are our emotions being hijacked back to dysfunction. We are not in the same condition as we were in dysfunction ambient. This means - we do no need to fix anything about social anxiety. Nor pay socially anxiety coaches or self help books instructions how to become confident. Our task is to snap back to our present self. Then our confidence will come online, naturally with cortex brain being activated. Which means - removing toxic people.

C.G. Jung - 'Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.' - Intense pain of narcissistic abuse victim syndrome - if your life is living misery. You cannot do anything, you can't motivate yourself, you can't make decisions, when you make decisions they're wrong ones, your physical health is suffering, mental health suffering, emotional health suffering, your interpersonal relationship suffering, then that is actual emotional and psychological abuse at the hands of someone with NPD, dark triad. 🟥 RICHARD GRANNON

To save someone's 30 years of seeking answers about social anxiety, study these concepts: These are all interchangeable: RSD (Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria) = Social anxiety = Emotional Dysregulation = Complex Trauma = Toxic shame = After-effects of ACoA & ACE = After-effects of narcissistic abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, mental abuse = Hypervigilance/hypovigilance = PureOCD = Unfavorable power dynamics = Trauma response = Trauma bonding = Neurodivergence = Spectrum, not binary thinking = Amygdala hijacking = Trauma triggers and flashbacks = being criticized for something you can't control = having high moral and ethical standards and enforcing them = someone random complains about our errors when we done superhuman efforts to avoid ALL mistakes which 98.5% percent of people never invest neither physically nor mentally = toxic person complaining and expecting us to know something for the first time without mistakes = Perfectionism = Protesting: someone toxic complaining without fair assessment and basing their protest on bias and prejudice and oversimplification = Protesting: trauma panic symptoms related in an attempt to express OUR OWN judgement and negative evaluation and holding criminals narcissists accountable for their crimes and hidden selfish agenda of exploiting others = Not conforming = Conforming (fawning) to unreasonable standards and neurotypical norms = Conforming to narcissistic abuser and psychopath who would punish us if we don't conform to their Coercive control, hidden agenda and manipulation and pathological lying = Being authentic true speaking the truth to fake people and toxic people who have hidden covert agenda to exploit others = being Agreeable (Big 5 personality trait) = being Open (Big 5 personality trait) = Being Neurotic (Big 5 personality trait) = being healthy, friendly and open to life and people = Attachment issues = Codependency = Listening to our gut feeling = Quiet BPD (PureBPD) = BPD Splitting = Inner critic = Imposter syndrome = Being exposed to Operant Conditioning of Negative reinforcement (rejection, cold shoulder) = Being exposed to Negative reinforcement Breadcrumbs hoping positive reinforcement will come instead = doing the best we can to avoid and mitigate negative reinforcement = Avoidance = Victim of false accusation and slander (overt or covert) = overcompensation and masking and making trauma and or abuse to be functional = being wounded and reacting to someone future faking our voids being fulfilled to hook us up to their lies = Self-referential thinking = identity being rooted in "I am not enough" instead of "I am enough" = Narcissistic Mortification = Sensory overload = Autistic shutdown = Pathological Demand Avoidance = The looking-glass self = mindread recursively / Recursive Thinking = mindreading = caring too much = Schizoid empty core = Repetition Compulsion === SUPPRESSED ANGER "People expect the quiet one to adapt to the loud people but not the other way around"

I think the damaging thing is not the anxiety itself, but bad habits people do as the way to cope with the anxiety. Some people smoke cigarettes, some drink alcohol excessively, some eat too much sweets.

I had 3 tests in all my life..on the 4th i learnt i have wpw syndrome which is from when i was in mother's womb. I went through a lovely ablation that was a failure...and the doctor was the best in his field in my country. Doctors are not gods...they are human beings, doing the best with their limited knowledge and tools.

Nonsense. When we put ourselves in social situations we will copy paste the same dysfunctional coping mechanisms that we were punished and conditioned into like self blame and negative self talk and focusing on fixing other people's anger and suppressing our own anger, keeping us trapped in fawning. Training our nervous system to feel safe without fear of consequences is ridiculous - because we are not the problem when someone is aggressive and anti-social and abusive to us. If we believe that we are abnormal for feeling panic around psychopaths - we will end up dog training ourselves and we will develop victim mentality - where we will constantly be in defensive mode. Socially anxious are focused so much on other people - they watch other people fac gestures to notice any sign of sudden unfair ad hominem attack. and focus is on tone of voice too.. Listening to what pathological liar is saying ends up as brainwashing and gaslighting due to coercive control. Forcing mistakes - will actually show that people are abnormal and highly focused on shaming others such as in shame-based culture country. In-group bias shows that spotlight effect is myth. - Young American explained why she left Croatia: "In Croatia people constantly express intrusive opinion about matters which are none of their business. The most irritating things were rude people." poslovni. hr Young American explained why she escaped from Croatia: "Often I heard Croats intruding why am I eating something, or commenting about what I wore. There is no such thing in America, we allow people to be what they want to be."

For me, and I think many others - The dyregulation comes from essentially having a faulty nervous system. after an intense traumatic event, the nervous systems wants to keep us as safe as possible due to the mind -body connection, then unfortunately this keeps us in the trap of anxiety and panic - the faulty re wiring of our nervous system, so any triggers that remotely remind us of the traumatic experience flick that switch on the 'Fight or flight response' when it really does not need to be switched on. so it's like a faulty mechanism and re regulation rather than overflowing, at least for me it was. it certainly does feel like an overflowing cup as you mentioned at times for sure.

helpful: Restoration of the microbiom in the gut: Fermented food, healthy eating (vegetables, Fruits, full corn etc / avoid sugar, white bread) - why? Serotonin may be a factor for anxiety - and it's build 80 % in the gut! / Restore a good relation to nature - and feel that you're connected ! / Meditation and learn to breathe deeply - so one can calm and easily come down from a beginning anxiety attack... / daily walk / good sleeping behavior (if possible) / learn the regulation of the nervous system... downsizing of stress hormones, especially long term stress cortisol...
