Hey, good point. But, since you can change the angle of the front and back legs of the RAFA L, it can be adjusted to many angles and bypass obstacles near the edges

horizontal wall mount? no hard edge negotiation? cheap carabiners?

Yes, edge negotiation is less important with Technora rope and in time of emergency you will need every second. Horizontal placement is possible if you can spot the right places in a building and the RAFA is designed for it, thanks for spotting!
