A solid walk through! Thank you for capturing this. I haven't seen this house since going through it in 1998. This put me right back in there.

Not really, it's more like a store, The Islands of Adventure Preview Center was showing much more of what was to come.

@@YvesRichard from the videos of the IOA Preview Center that are out there, it appeared there was a lot more to see, as each Island area had their own dedicated room with unique theming and the like. Epic's Preview Center is just the store and the big mockup of the park itself with AR-enabled elements providing more of a preview.

Do you happen to know the name of the track/music at 0:52? I have been searching my whole life to hear that music again since I also own footage from one of my trips to Universal Studios in the 90s and this song always plays prior to the Dynamite Nights Stuntacular show. But I'm so curious to learn the name of this song so I can have it saved somewhere in my computer.

Whew - I worked on this ride between 1996-1998, so hearing the ride soundtrack and preshow is an out-of-body experience. When you work there everyday for 2 years these sounds are pretty much engrained in your soul for life. Even those stupid squawking birds in the exit area (5:54) still annoy me when I hear them. And for me, I was between ages 16-18 when working here, so it was also one of my "coming of age" spots where I went from being a regular teenager spending most of my time in my room, to an employed teenager suddenly being surrounded by thousands of people from all over the world. One interesting thing to note - in case anyone is still reading, is that before being employed there my father was good friends with the head of HR for Universal, and when he learned that I wanted to work at Universal for the summer (which ended up being 2 years) he interviewed me himself. An executive with hundreds of employees - voluntarily doing an interview with a kid who just turned 16. It was probably fun for him - and for me it was guaranteed employment. My friends who applied for the summer all got boring food-service jobs where they had to stand out in the sun all day, while I got to chill at Hanna Barbera. Good times!

Really a treat seeing your recollections of now non-existant Alfred Hitchcock: Art of Making Movies and Murder, She Wrote Mystery Theatre, and Jaws attractions. I was fortunate to be one of the primary attraction directors/interactive designers on these shows. As a filmmaker, it was truly a dream job working with such great technical creators that Universal put to work creating the park. Lots of great memories! We had so much creative fun producing these shows as I hope the people had attending them.
