For those who dont know, this song is supposed to have a loop-like end. The end of the song and start of the song is the same, so maybe thats the reason why most people did not realize its a 2h mix xD

the song is structured so well, the simple guitar rhythm paired with the laughter is a nice break from the lyrical portion making it seem endless

"The genius is that the song fades in and out at the same point..." Well that's not really true, because when it comes back to the "All I give are little clues" lyrics, the instrumental is noticeably different. There's added synths and stuff. I kinda wish it just went back to the exact same arrangement as the start of the song, then faded out.

I get what you are saying but maybe it was done like that so that we as a listener understand that as a storyline to he repeating but we as an outsider as aware of what's happening this time. Like how some time travel movies loop back to the beginning but the main character now knows everything and does one small thing differently that makes all the difference. What do you think?
