Will a mister or spray work to prevent freeze ups in the heating mode, as my unit in the winter goes into defrost mode when the sensor says it's to cold... I think the sensor is controlling way to much and way to early so I am thinking of just adding either a mister or a spray of water directly onto the coils to keep them from freezing up....??

It's been raining here lately and water ends up sitting where the AC sits, should I be concerned about mold coming into the home? I'm highly allergic to mold unfortunately after living in hidden mold for an extended time
@TershBlissett Жыл бұрын
If you have a split system versus a package unit, you don’t have to be concerned with mold getting into your home from the outdoor unit sitting in water constantly. But you will need to get that water away from the unit because if the water is flooding the condenser, it could be blocking airflow to the coil, and could also cause the bottom of the unit to rot/rust out.

@TershBlissett Жыл бұрын
@Zane.Wellnitz you make a valid point, but these systems are designed to divert water that is coming down from the sky versus water being sprayed from the ground up…especially at the bottom of electrical panels that may not be sealed properly where the wires are coming into the cabinet. I’ve been shocked by 24v coming from the indoor unit while performing a maintenance on a system. Didn’t kill me but made me jump out of the way for sure. My message to those who may wonder would be to be cautious and ensure you’ve turned off the power before spraying a bunch of water on something that could potentially hurt you.

@@TershBlissett true, I should have mentioned turning the power off first. It's not going to hurt the ac though.

Very valid point, but spraying water in a different direction than how the rain typically falls could result in spraying water into the live electrical panels. I’d always just advise that people proceed with caution.

Dhould I wear a suite to perform a maintenance on my system as well?
@Bnguyen2762 жыл бұрын
Just turn off your ac and spray the outside twice a year, once during spring and middle of summer when it’s hot. You will feel your ac blow colder also. My ac unit has last 20 years doing so. The coil outside acts as a cooling device for the ac compressor, the dirt on the coil makes the compressor work harder and it’ll bust your stuff. He went the full 10 yards, that was unnecessary.
@tonyf22682 жыл бұрын
Just messing with you man. It is a great video. This is the proper way to clean your outdoor system and spraying it off with just a water hose from the outside will push the dirt back into the coil. It's not just a way to cool the compressor. This is the heat removal from your home.

How would punctuality fall on the list from a bosses perspective
@TershBlissett3 жыл бұрын
This is a tough one, and I was just talking with some buddies of mine, who are in a business owners’ mastermind group with me, about this exact topic last week…first off, I’d work hard to determine the why…why are they late constantly? Is it that they are late in the morning because they have to drop of kids at school? Or is it because they worked until 2am the previous night? Or was it because they aren’t a morning person? And finally, is it because that is their personality and they will simply always be late? The answer to these questions will help me a leader a million times more than simply getting frustrated with someone who is having a punctuality issue. If they are working late every night bc I’m overloading them, then that’s obviously on me… If they are having scheduling issues, then I’m going to work to start their day later… If it’s their personality, and they will always be late, then they had been win me over in other areas…and win MASSIVELY bc we can’t provide wow service to our clients if we break the first promise of a prompt arrival time for their servicing. If they don’t wow me in other areas, they would need to exit to business…after the proper coaching though…we have the four steps of improvement for this reason right here. Does that help any? This is based on my experience anyways…
