Another great video, Tom. My add: The Stooges self-titled debut album, vs. the follow-up, Fun House. Both records show up regularly on those "Greatest / Most Important Albums of All Time" lists. But on the first record, it sounds as if producer John Cale was doing his best to keep The Stooges on a tight leash. They sound oddly restrained, like caged wild animals, still trying to figure out how to play their instruments. However, by the second album, the gloves are off, and it's a full-on sonic assault, starting with Down On the Street and culminating in the free-form chaos of LA Blues. Two essential albums, with huge artistic growth between them.

Everything you said about "Get Happy" was positive... Just like critics said about the Ramones... I could never rate his albums in any order... though... I think all artists are wonderful no matter how bad they are I can dig Captain Beefheart and Tom Waits... I would love to clear a room to the hours and hours of the extended version of "Nilsson's COCONUT" ... then again, OXYMORON: ROCK CRITIC.

Tom: One more title I'd add to the list is the eponymous third Flying Burrito Brothers album. Have you heard it? Much as I love Gram Parsons, I think this, their first post-Parsons offering, is a stronger and better sounding album than Burrito Deluxe. Two standout tracks are Rick Roberts' "Colorado" and a great cover of Bob Dylan's "To Ramona."

Great list with special kudos to NICK DRAKE's FIVE LEAVES LEFT, LOVE'S FOREVER CHANGES, NEIL's AFTER THE GOLD RUSH (his most impressive masterpiece?) JONI's FOR THE ROSES (underrated in favour of other cloassics BLUE an COURT and SPARK), The third Velvet underground album (my favorite alongside the banana-album). Great video and great list! In my opinion I always felt that RUSH had a big change from their first self titled album to their 2nd album Fly By Night.
