Sadly, I probably will not. I made an announcement about a month ago giving the reason. Basically, outside of Tortage there are very few players around. This is even more evident the higher level you get. Although once very active, it just doesn't seem active enough today to continue. I still recommend that you try it/play it at some point, though. There are many fun aspects to the game.

Hey, Matt. Thanks for watching the videos, and thanks for the kind words. I had purchased the Hyborian Conqueror Collection and that gave me a free month of premium. Some of the gameplay that you watched was premium, but the last episode (or two) have been F2P. The main difference (that I have seen) is that playable character slots are limited on the F2P to two. With premium you can have many characters and play them. I'm not sure on the exact limit, but it is much larger than two. Concerning group content, I have to be honest that I've not yet reached the level for a group dungeon, so I can't comment on how difficult it is to find players to group with. However, while adventuring I've come across a few people, with Tortage having the most. This is to be expected, though, due to it being the starting area for new players.

I enjoyed my time in the game, and even did a few videos of it, like you see here. It's free to play on Steam, so I suggest you give it a try. It's very different, but there were not a lot of players at the time. Keep in mind also that it's not as lore-focused as LOTRO (nothing out there really that is, though), so it's a different play style. However, I did enjoy it, but it would be much more fun with friends. The downside is that the development team seems so small that progress seems slow. But, it's definitely worth looking at, even if you only play for short time. I tried to get my friends into it, but they never would try it, haha. By the way, I played LOTRO for a good while. You were spot on in your description of it. Although I don't play it currently, I do have fond memories of my dwarf minstrel and his adventures all the way to Lothlorien. The Mines of Moria were probably one of the greatest places I've ever adventured. I loved it.

Bash away, because the mic/sound quality is poor. Currently it's the only mic I have, though, so the sound quality suffers. Appreciate you watching, though. Aside from the sound quality I hope you enjoyed it. Also, I had to filter the background noise out using software which is what gives it the "soup can" sound. Speaking of, though, aren't those stringed cans great? :P

Hey. One thing I forgot to mention about PvP is that you can get the Seed of a Tree of Giants pretty easily and use those on invaders. Another thing for chunks is joining the Bell Covenant and just going afk. You'll eventually get chunks if there's more than one invader, but you'll also be helping the people getting invaded since they'll get a free win (and chunk) if it's 1 v 1. I was actually going to post this comment on your discussion page, but you don't have it enabled. I did end up watching the video and it's a funny coincidence that you ended up mentioning the PvP. Something else about farming, you don't need to join the covenant of Champions until you despawn the enemies. I guess it doesn't matter too much with this spot since you're not really fighting enemies. I was farming in Doors of Pharos on one of my first playthroughs and joined the covenant. Then I fought Rat Authority who was really hard and then I remembered I was in champions covenant.

Thanks for the response and suggestions. I had actually tried the Bell Covenant, but not going afk. I actually partook in several fights, but ended up with only 1 chunk. It just seemed counterproductive compared to the above process.L Regarding clearing enemies completely, I actually did know that although you can't tell my watching this video. I had actually cleared this area completely before doing this farming run, but I should have mentioned that as joining the covenant before clearing it out would also be counterproductive as the enemies would be more difficult when they didn't have to be. :P TL:DR You're correct. Kill all enemies in the area BEFORE joining the Rat King Covenant. Only after they've been completely "normally" farmed should one then join the covenant to continue farming. Thanks!

Is botting an Asian mmo thing? it seems to happen on every asian game, while I rarely ever see it on western games. Do asian mmos turn a blind eye to bots hoping their presence on the server can be used to advertise a larger player base? very sad and suicidal strategy if that is what they are doing.

Wow... is archeage overrun by bots already? it sure looks like it. Is archeage already doomed? I mean does it look like the devs just blowing smoke while bots ruin the game Aion style?

I don't think it is, although it's not something a gamer wants to see in a game. I did read that XL/Trion are actively compiling lists to combat these bots and over 10k have already been banned. So, it may take a little time, but it seems that devs are attempting to combat this problem.

They will need their own code to be able to detect and clean out bots. As long as they rely on any kind of manual process, they will fail because infinite bot accounts will be created from infinite origins, IP wise. I downloaded the game and will give it a try, if it is a bot farm maybe I will see if I can enjoy farming pvp on the bots. But in the end, if their code can't defend from bots this game is doomed. Hope that is not the case.
