The crocodiles aren't fed human bodies today. There was one crocodile that was eating people hundreds of years ago.

We stayed here for Christmas 2022, visiting from Australia. It's within walking distance of an excellent mall (includes a good/inexpensive food court) called Market Village. We enjoyed it so much we've just recently booked another holiday here for February 2025!

It was mentioned with skepticism.

I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Loy Krathong is incredibly busy, hotels are booked months in advance. If you don't participate, it's still beautiful to see, with all the lanterns going downriver.

Last time in bangkok i also rented a car drove from bangkok to koh chang took about 6 hours. Was the best drive ive had so far and you can stop anywhere you like on the way if you have time.

What about airport to Sukhumvit area? Train or taxi for first time traveller?
@Travsight2 ай бұрын
A taxi is likely to be the better option if you don't really know your way around and if you have sizable luggage. If coming from Suvarnabhumi Airport, you'll need to transfer to the MRT or BTS to get to Sukhumvit, unless your accommodation is in the Asoke area. If flying into DMK, definitely a taxi because the SRT Red Line will only take you to Bang Sue, which isn't near Sukhumvit.
I will be near the bang kapi area. How do you let the conductor know what stop you getting off? If no english .
@Travsight2 ай бұрын
You just need to know the name of the stop that you want to get off at. They'll understand. Then you just watch the signs and hop off at your stop. So long as they've ticketed someone for that stop, or if they someone waiting, the boat will stop at the pier. Only at low times with a nearly empty boat have I ever been on a boat passing/skipping stops.
@justice4all9972 ай бұрын
@Travsight thanks. Il try to pronounce the stop. Someone suggested say on my translator " 6 stop getting off" for example.
@Travsight2 ай бұрын
If you're getting off one of the busier stops, they're in a hurry to get to each person for tickets. The shorter the interaction the better. There are less foreigners using the khlong taxis than say the BTS or MRT, but not so uncommon that they'll be bewildered that a foreigner boarded the boat.

Can I buy a week pass for using the BTS?
@Travsight4 ай бұрын
The BTS doesn't offer one week passes. There's a daily pass that can be purchased at the ticket offices. The only other packages are monthly, and those are connected to the Rabbit Card.
