Hi there, thank you for your question, I haven't tried using this for international and domestic flights yet, Hopefully soon and I would suggest checking it with the airlines first but in my personal understanding carry on plus should be checked in, I am not sure of myself ,if this will be in the overhead cabins, a little bigger than the carry on luggage. I would expect this to be checked in, I tried to contact Monos chat customer service and they also suggested to check with the airlines.
