Yo. It's been a forever since you watched this, but it must be said- during this entire series, it is imperative to accept that ALL of Shadow Garden are wearing masquerade style face masks. They're just invisible to the anime viewer. Seems the anime studio was stupidly lazy and just didn't bother drawing one of the most striking features of the group's efforts to remain clandestine. Lots and lots of reacters lost their shite over no one ever recognizing Cid or Alpha and such, so the studio made a muck of such a simple facet of Eminence. If you didn't get enough of this series, I highly recommend reading the manga. There are some interesting changes, but it basically follows the light novel and matches the anime for the most part. Even if you've watched the anime, the manga is still a LOT of fun.

in all honesty the simplest way to explain his first power is red light green light. when the target has its back faced towards you, you have to run towards them as fast as possible. the target has to say/sing a line usually with their hands on their eyes and turn around and take their hands off their eyes when they finish. anyone that is caught moving when the target/it turns around loses. the first one to reach/touch the target/it wins. the second game it shows (Kage Oni/shadow Demon( is the game of stepping on each others shadow first. the last one to survive wins. the third game is the one were if you stare to much at a bright object like a lamp or the sun it leaves a bright after image on your vision ''projecting'' what you just saw. ps: i love how a lot of shunsui's children games have him as a child/participant and his target as the ''stronger'' role in the game. the games seem strong for him at first glance but all the rules are pretty disadvantageous for himself. what makes it so strong and annoying is that you don't know when one game begins or when it ends and what their rules are. although there is for sure something he isn't telling, which i think is that he can't use the same ''rules/game'' without telling his opponent what it is first. you can only participate in a game once you know its rules. lemme put it this way, regarding jugram in the backstory. he had no parents to give him the love he needed, yhwach appeared and says he needs him. he had to live with an uncle who was definitely abusive (going by his bruises), and then said uncle died in the fire which yhwach and his army caused. and even in the time between, after the loss of the village and his forest, you could argue he gained freedom to roam alongside bazz-b. each time he was likely counting his blessings, and at the end, he likely attributed those blessings to yhwach.
