Ha, Lu Bu in Dynasty Warriors 2 on hard mode is by far the hardest. With a fully upgraded character 1 to 2 hits will kill you. So, he rides up like a jock, you get hit. And die instantly. Maybe barely survive, maybe insta die.... Often insta die. But if don't then have to zig zag flee to try and get away hope he finds someone else to murder while chasing you. Then try to find a pot with health and try to get back up to not insta death health. Then get hit once again and spend the next 40 minutes trying to see if there is any health left on the map. Then go back. And then the only way you can beat him is if despite the only 3 hit combo in the game, you need to juggle him the entire time for like 5 minutes until he finally dies. Any mistakes and you die. And gosh damn it is annoying to spend 30 minutes getting to him and dying instantly multiple times. Also, playing with a friend and seeing there is no more health left on the map. Seeing they are going to suicide run The Bu. Me yelling at them "don't do it! Don't pursue Lu Bu!" Then them dying instantly and game over. Or possibly save them with a cheap shot on Lu Bu and finally take him down. D.W. 2 definitely made me first fear the Bu. And haven't feared him as much since. Regardless...Great times!

For this game to be amazing they need to learn from their mistakes , yes the dynasty series fell off after 5 but as u said there's still good things in 6-7-8-9 , for this game it would be amazing for it to have something like a mix between musou mode and destiny mode (5 Xtreme legends) you have a nameless hero who start as a private or a mercenary let say he starts in the allied force against the yellow turbans after you win you choose a faction you'd join( wu shu wei) , and to introduce the Players to the world of the r.o.t.t.g the scenarios should be accurate not fictional, if you choose wu faction, it would be weird to get both shu and wei massacred at the end (and that didn't happen) i feel like you'll fight in an accurate scenario battles, let say you joined yuan shao and faught against cao cao in guan du (historically cao cao won) you'll get captured or surrender and go fight under cao cao.... In this way players will have a piece of lore that will get them hooked , starting at the yellow turbans till when jin family won against them all, and maybe till the fall of the jin ( the war of the eight princes (sima YI's grandsons civil war)), this way the game to me would be cool as hell, i don't mind weapon switch system, but don't make it tooo rpg , plus there's alot of things for dw6 they need to add (my opinion is that dw6 was a great game but not a good warriors game) strategies siege machines.... I wanna feel like I'm in war!! That's pretty much what do y'all think

My prediction is that DW:O will likely merge aspects of DW and DWE. We'll likely get to play as our CAW and interact with the cast, marry our waifus, etc etc. But it'll follow the gameplay/story of a normal DW title, maybe with extra branching, what-if's or additional scenarios depending on what happens.

are you facing Lu Bu after defeating Diao Chan? cos if im not wrong, in DW6, if you defeat Diao Chan before Lu Bu spawned, he got SIGNIFICANTLY stronger!! and you know what? i always defeat Diao Chan first for more challange HAHAH

Hopefully it runs well. Koei has not had a good track record when it comes to performance since about the PS2 days, in which the games ran at 60 fps.

I enjoy a choose your own, but they should add a fighting style like nioh or wo long when fighting officers or generals, but when fighting enemy peons they should make it where they actually fight in a unit and you should have your own unit counter them like blade storm like. So its realistic units vs units and officers vs officer until one unit falls and they well move against that officer and overwhelm the officer to create a challenging peon fight. So if you don't plan or level your unit appropriately they can be sliced through like butter and you'll eventually be overwhelm by enemy peons so as your opponent. If they intend to do a Live service please use Helldivers 2 as a ref as they are truly live service done correctly.

3 and 6 are my two favorite titles. 3 for nostalgic purposes and all the hidden collectables and the legendary weapons. 6 most people seem to hate on but I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing it, used to go in on max difficulty just so I could fight Lu Bu at his best. I didn't use Xiahou Dun though, obviously I used Zhao Yun.

As much as I'm excited for this game honestly it's time to move on from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and start a brand new series in the Dynasty Warriors franchise I think they should use the Warring States Period of Ancient China (476 BCE-221 BCE) and maybe the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era (907 CE-960 CE) as future Dynasty Warriors games What do you think?

I want there to be multiple storylines that allows replayability. Depending on what decisions we choose, we become the stratigist of shu for example. Taking over zhuge liang's spot is the best stratigist. Zhuge liang then has a different backstory since his canon story of being the stratigist is no longer. Instead of a Defeat screen, let us become captured, where we have to now work with the enemy and our commander/forces are sending messages trying to get us back. Allow us to be the one to rescue liu shan instead of zhao yun thus allowing zhao yun to be placed in a different province at the time and allowing shu to fight off against the enemy thanks to us being the one going back to save liu shan. Allow us to be the reinforcments for guan yu at fan castle where we either do or dont make it in time before his death.(They kinda did this what if with Xing Cai in DW5XL but i think it'll be cool to expand on) Somethings like that to change the story we once knew I think would be cool.

why can't they just make a remake of dynasty warriors 3 or something

I must admit my own expectations are quite low, I've been met with disappointment too often as of late. On the positive side, maybe the new DW surprises me. I miss the older DW as well, so guess that tracks.

I would have really loved if this was 4 and 4-II. If that was the case, even if it was a little more expensive, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Dynasty warriors would be better if they keep the older gameplay style, we don’t want to kill 1000 dumb AI enemies in one strike, we want harder smarter enemies. Over powering dumb AI gets old easily, why can’t they realize that? I don’t even care about dynasty origin

I like empire title the most rather than usual dynasty warrior.

'Gamer is creature that very quick to find the problem but they also had came up with horrible solution for that problem' Is what summarized what musou community the most. Especially the take about brain dead peon. they design it, to make you feel invicible, and become the sword waste for your musou. Its deliberate, design them that way both allies and enemy alike. If you people need allies to defeat 'x' enemy meaning you are bad player. that didnt know how to time management. Even worse its musou game, potraying how bad you are as a player. Even the hardest difficulty doesnt make them smarter only give more damage and hp bar increasing. Do you think People want bring masocore into Musou game? You will be dead by an arrow the moment you walk one step.

Quests and Side quests were in Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce! It even had Guest characters appearing. I would want soul Calibur Characters playable since both dw and sc Characters use weapons and Sophitia had a Great Moveset

I think Dw5 Empires is the Best Dw5 version. Because you can Control all your Forces and cant do that in The other dw5 versions

I think this might be more along the lines of Samurai Warriors Chronicles.

my thoughts upon seeing the trailer is that we'll start in the very first year of the ytr and end on chibi. it kind of reminds me of the opening cut scene we see when starting dwo and chibi is one of the major turning points of the three kingdoms. also, alot of characters died during chibi when we read their biography xD
