That stone circle, was made by a school master and some pupils, not ancient at all. It disappeared when farmers nicked the stones for walls, and they had to be located and put back in place.

Brilliant reviews,…..We carry a frontier stove, ( the cheap tent stove) its excellent for cooking, in terms of a cars iron or dutchy,..a bonus is its a good heat source and the smoke is ten foot above you. Ok, it’s no bush telly unless you leave the door open, but it feels safer too as it’s enclosed and the flue has a decent spark arrester.

Nice place and you are right about nob heads, Peak District a couple of weeks ago people had a bbq right next to Ladybower, used a wooden bench which was also used as a memorial plaque bench. Clearly signs say no BBQ’s, litter and food waste everywhere. Countryside respect has diminished over the last few years, I’m livid 😢 hoping you are both well 👍

Hi guys, Really enjoyed that😀iv'e stayed in that bothy before about 4 years ago it was , we thought it was quite spooky and we didn't get much sleep lol , could you tell use the location where you started the walk from to the bothy? as when we went we parked in the Arch car park near Cwmystwyth and it was a very long walk, I will be going back there in a couple of days time just to see how much its changed, ATB Mark ..
