What a ridiculous event. The whole thing lasted --what?'-- 5 seconds? 10 seconds? What a joke. That's not a sport. Anything less than 400 meters is pointless.

Tell that to Usain Bolt. Sprints are short. Someday you may learn to live with that.

Nah. Who cares about a 50 yd or 100 yd dash? That's so 19th century. Complete waste of time and energy. Maybe someday you'll learn to accept that.@@wendyleeconnelly2939

Let this just be a lesson I'm not sure what happened in Texas but I have no doubt that why you made the decision not to run in the 5000m will turn out to be in your best interest. You are a wonderful athlete don't ever second guess your talent because you are one of the greats

The relay runners need to keep that baton on the **INSIDE** when in front ... otherwise at risk for it to get bumped and dropped if being passed (like in that women's event where the gal was bumped 5 ft from the finish and dropped it).

they intentionally stay on the track after handing the baton to delay the other runners, what a shame

And it actually looks like Bisimana tied up and was spazing 10m from finish. He probably would have won or still fell before line due to his muscles spazing and cramping. I love the pain of the 800m

Sooxmamy athelets do this and don't get called out or DQ'd. Even at this same meet there were at least two other guys who did the same. Not as drastic. But the same. This is the only guy to get called for it. Not saying what he did was right, or ok. Just tht many people do it and don't gt called

Hmmm... must have been that last handoff by UCLA that got them DQed. Their receiving runner drifted into lane two and interfered with the A&M runners. Sad that Oklahoma wasn't disqualified. Their anchor interfered twice. Lots of great quarter milers out there.

First to second exchange A&M incoming runner is simply out of order. Instead of passing the baton and immediately moving towards the inside to get onto the grass, she moves outward and blocks the UT outgoing (2) runner. Very lucky that the UT runner didn't crash into her and fall down. Simply atrocious and no excuses! She needs a stern warning from her coach about being aware of her position during the exchanges. High time the NCAA introduced rules for the exchange.

He didn't look behind him. He had no idea where anyone was. He was exhausted and was literally collapsing as he's crossing the line. His right leg gave out too. It was not on purpose.
