I guess we’ll know more about Ichibe once Kubo releases the Hell Arc? As far as I understand Tite Kubo did not write the novels so the novels are not entirely canon to the manga. However the lore and backstory are. We have to also watch what happens in the anime too. Then there’s burn the witch too. I hope we can soon se a continuation to this great story.

This isnt accurate and perfect jinchuurikis are not immune to Genjutsu, they can just easily break genjutsu. But in order to break a genjutsu you have to know you're in a genjutsu. Kagura wasnt aware he was being manipulated
