Nearly a century on, and arguably Louis Armstrong's solos have never been bettered.

what are the 4 universal themes in this video

the centrality of love, the rhythms of life, our place in the universe, the power of language

I also love jazz and truly appreciated this video . A suggestion : the video is long ( one hour twenty eight minutes) and it would have been more attractive to many to present the same subject over three thirty minutes videos…

Yes, thank you for your comment. I know what you mean. Originally, I made this video for a class and classes in Japan go 90 minutes. When I posted it, I was going to cut it into three parts, but...I didn't get to it. I hope you could get a lot from it!

I imitated his another poem "the Red WheelBarrow" , hopefully you give me your honest comment, if not too critical, " A Silent Trough" So much depends Upon A silent, sacred trough, Summer and Winter Splashed with motherly water, Beside the white, brown, black cows.

In Spanish culture, I suppose, the main meaning in this story is the fear of darkness as simbol of the Nada. I live in Madrid, near a bar where Hemingway used to come. It's still well lit. ☺️

I loved the book . I’ve been visiting Tokyo many times and your book took back there . Hiroshi is becoming my favorite detective. Keep it up , keep writing!
@pronkomichael Жыл бұрын
Oh, thank you! That's great you visited Tokyo, too. Things get even more complicated for Hiroshi in the next novel, coming out in the summer! I'll keep writing, but thank you for that! It makes it easier when I know someone will read it!

Late to this but a great video, thank you. Ellington is somewhat out of fashion with the Jazz listening community, but i'd argue his huge discography is superior to any Jazz artist . Plus, you get Hodges, Gonsalves, Anderson, Webster, Terry etc etc.
@pronkomichael2 жыл бұрын
Cheers! I made this a few years ago, actually, but I think Ellington is timeless. He's kind of too huge, as you say, to comprehend in full. So much there, and so much around him.

The Lord’s Prayer is not a poem.
@Emlouise1154 жыл бұрын
Why not?
@Auteckre2 жыл бұрын
Hi 🙂 Because of the context of the passage and the genre the Gospels fall into. They are written to communicate historical events. And the context of the prayer involves the disciples simply asking Jesus to teach them to pray. And so Jesus responds with that model prayer. Hope this helps Blessings

Example for prayer by the Lord isn't a poem. Yet, it's beautiful as a poem.

Hey Michael, nice interview. Any news on when we're see the third book with detective Hiroshi? Will we ever hear anything about Trey Gladius in the future?
@pronkomichael5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Vincent! The third in the series will be out by the end of the year. Trey Gladius will definitely be back in a future novel. He's an amazing character, I feel, and he skipped out this time, only to be, well, only to return later. Thanks for reading. Third one's on its way. Sign up for my newsletter and I'll have some previews of it for subscribers very soon. Cheers!
