I went to Bethlehem to see the church last year and it was an awful experience. Aside from policemen asking for a bribe so I could cut lines that didn’t even exist and random scammers doing their best to take my money, I took a wrong turn and ended up in a popular market where dozens of pictures of “martyrs” were hanging on the walls. Also, is pretty disturbing that the city know for the birth of Jesus has almost no Christians on the streets only Muslims - and I’m not even Christian to be so worried about that.
