Manual transmission and likely a competition. I own a manual YJ. You either have to GO or STOP. You dont have the luxury of slowly creeping over obstacles and stopping to choose the perfect line. Ive smoked my clutch several times by trying to crawl really slowly... One thing that helps alot is a TeraFlex hand throttle. Best $30 upgrade to can do to anything with a manual trans. It allows you to work the clutch, brake, and throttle all at once; and it acts as a 'redneck cruise control' because it holds your throttle position.
