I absolutely agree that last season was abysmal but I don’t think we should keep giving excuses to a player that really hasn’t done anything his first 3 seasons. Chubba didn’t do anything up until last season when he had his best season behind one of the worst OL’s we’ve had in a minute so I just dont want to keep using excuses for TMJ anymore if that makes sense. Now, if he can keep making plays for the rest of TC and through preseason, then we can have a discussion but right now, I want the younger guy who is doing everything TMJ hasn’t as a rookie. Everything you said makes sense and I understand why fans keep wanting to give him chances but me personally, I don’t buy it because we’ve said every season he’s going to be a breakout player and hasn’t done it. Chubba has, Jonathan Mingo looks to be doing it. So it’s not just because we were terrible last year, I think it’s on TMJ why he can’t breakout. But as I said, if he makes the roster I hope I’m wrong because I loved TMJ in college and thought he had all the talent but atm I’ve lost all hope. #keeppounding

I don’t think he will make the team solely because we’ll probably only want and need 2 QBs on the roster (Bryce and Dalton), but based on things I’ve seen, he’s done solid so far in camp of course not as much run as Bryce and Andy so far but will probably end up on the practice squad

I love how we’re seeing guys not named Jaycee and Diontae Johnson make plays so far at receiver and corner in camp specifically Mingo and Dane Jackson. And Adding Gilmore would instantly make the secondary really solid if everyone can stay healthy.

The first preseason game with show if the receivers outside our top 3 is capable for sure.

Said perfectly. Miles to me is still RB3 until proven further and with Ickey, I agree he doesn’t have much longer until he get replaced.

Depends on the severity. I would not at all be opposed to sitting him because of the injury if Miles can show a little during training camp because we know Chubba is RB1. Just depends on how the staff and Jonathan feels but he most likely won’t go until preseason is my guess.

Good question. After training camp is when I’m going to do my final 53 man roster predictions so it’s kind of hard now to choose 1 guy if that makes sense, but a couple guys that come to mind currently that I don’t think will make the roster are Jammie Robinson just because we are kind of deep at safety and will want to keep some younger guys. Another guy I personally just don’t want on this team is Ian Thomas lol but that wouldn’t make sense contract wise. So, I’m going to have a much better idea of who will just barely make the team after TC because things can change of course but those would be my 2 guys. I don’t know if that answered your question let me know.

@panther_plugz Yeah it did. The only reason why Ian Thomas wouldn't make sense is because it didn't make sense when the Panthers gave him the contract he's currently on. He shouldn't have gotten that one. You could've gotten anyone else to be an extra blocker if that's what you wanted because he's certainly not a threat or factor on offense

Absolutely💯 I also think this is one of the few lines we’ve had in a while that have guys naturally great run blockers like ickey and Damien Lewis not to mention Robert hunt is great in both pass pro and run pro. The addition of Yosh Nijman and some young guys that are capable backups has me thinking this position can be one of if not the best position this year on offense but we’ll see.
