This came at the perfect time. I suppose all could go into pressure cooker as well
@Nicole_Eats_Plants7 сағат бұрын
Yes! I have never tried that as the pressure cooker scares me, so I would just go by whatever ingredient would take the longest to cook

Btw, I’m eating the last 😢 of the black bean soup from your previous video. I threw in cooked Barilla Protein Plus spiral pasta, and made a topping of avocado, salsa, and vegan sour cream (that is so good, I had to force myself to not eat the entire bowl!). Definitely making this soup (and topping) again, and freezing it (it’s just me).

That combo sounds so good! That’s definitely my favorite one out of all of these recipes, I usually serve it up with rice and some mango and jalapeños on top!

Hello! I just finished bagging all five of these meals. Thank you for providing the recipes and shopping list for free. However, I think you need to up your game in creating the list and recipes. There were things not mentioned on the list (sweet potatoes and lemons) that were in the recipes. Also, in the recipes themselves there needs to be more accurate measurements. For instance, onion size varies from yellow onions to large sweet onions. How much needs to go into each recipe? The two 28oz cans of diced tomatoes seem to be divided into 2 16 ozs of tomatoes plus “one large can.” I assumed that meant the remaining tomatoes. One jar of salsa? What size? If you have or are planning to monetize your recipes, the accuracy of any of your free recipes will determine whether people are willing to spend money on them.
@Nicole_Eats_Plants4 күн бұрын
Since this isn’t baking the measurements don’t have to be 100% precise. I never met a soup that wasn’t forgiving if too many onions were used. This was a freebie I released about 5 years ago, I haven’t updated it because I have put more effort and work into my paid recipe collections which have been measured and tested. I’m sorry my free resources used to help and encourage people to prepare homemade healthy food for their families was so off putting to you. I’m not forcing anyone to make any of my suggestions. Maybe try Gordon Ramsey… 🤷♀️
@deborahbergren98494 күн бұрын
@@Nicole_Eats_Plants I’m sorry if this sounded like an attack and I get it about not needing precise measurements but with groceries and gas being so expensive it’s nice to know how much and what I’m going to need so I don’t have to get in the car and get something that wasn’t listed! I hope you do well in your business! Like I said, thanks for the free ideas!

I added a note to the description box to remind everyone that the sweet potato and lemons are missing, hope that helps!

Hi Nicole 🤗 Oooh the chili looks divine and I have some pumpkin puree in my freezer so will definitely make this. I don't have Trader Joe's in Canada so I think I will use some TVP rehydrated and spiced with some extra chorizo style seasonings in the place of the Soyrizo you used!

Thank you for this incredible recipe! I made this overnight, but put in too much water. So, rather than the traditional heavy thick black bean soup, it was brothy. But the flavor was out of this world, not weak at all. I added a handful of pasta I had cooked and frozen previously, kind of a Mexican Pasta Fagioli. This is one of the best soups I’ve ever had, never mind made from scratch!

I have a super easy way to make pasta. It was inspired by my stepson, and America’s Test Kitchen. I use Barilla Protein Plus pasta (yellow box) because it never overcooks. Put pasta and water to cover by 2” in lidded pot. You can add salt if you like. Heat to boiling, stir, cover, and remove from the heat. After one minute, stir, cover again. Leave covered pot off the heat for however long the box says to cook the pasta (elbow mac takes 7-8 mins, for instance). Drain when cooked. (Save starchy pasta water for sauces.) Advantages to cooking this way: no boil-over, and you can leave the kitchen for a while.

I have what Nisha Vora (RainbowPlantLife) refers to as “baby mouth” (although I have no problem with wasabi). So I’ll be making several of these but on the mild side (no harissa, no jalapeños, no red pepper flakes). I don’t even use black pepper, but sub green or pink peppercorns instead.
