Lumpy was a good friend of my stepdad. John tubby Jackowski. We used to hang out at his shop in Bergen county NJ and Middletown NY when I was a kid. It's probably the biggest reason why I started getting tattooed myself. I would love to get a tattoo from lumpy myself. I can remember hanging out at his house in highland lakes with him and his family. I used to love looking at all the flash he had hanging around. He even ended up with my old Yamaha DT dirtbike that I blew up when I got a new dirt bike . I still remember the black Malibu station wagon that him and his wife used to have. It was sick! Good to see lumpy still doing what he loved most Designing and tattooing sick tattoos

RIP, Nick. I will remain proud to wear your work on my skin until the day I die. Your perspective on life changed my view of the world.

Mr Savini. My old neighbor growing up. We used to watch all the ‘characters’ come down the steps in 70’s & 80’s from in between the houses and go into his shop as we laid on the back patio slathered in baby oil getting a tan. The stuff our young eyes & ears would be privy too. Thank you for showcasing him. He never really got the respect and notoriety he deserved.

Sailor Fred did my first tattoo and frog did my second. I traveled with the same carnival they did. I remember it like it was yesterday and it was over 30 years ago. I was pleased to see him on youtube.
