Never forgive them for the downgrade of Marie’s personality and intros. The only two they kept from 5 were imo her two weakest ones in expressing her personality. The simple and smooth “Oh dear..” line showed how bothersome and beneath her fighting her opponent was, her actively being so cocky with her “Piece of cake!” line fully displayed how confident she was in her ability to beat you. Perhaps her most telling line being when she gets frustrated with how you underestimated her solely on her size alone then walks away back turned to you like you’re nothing. Honestly that one more than any reminds me of a few of the older doa 3 win poses on the likes of Christie and Hitomi. In turn we got a new solid elegant entrance animation and her remaining two 5lr poses kinda got combined into one but neither of the deliveries of her words in either of those animations highlight any form of condescending tone, cocky nature or inherent confrontational esc dialogue that actively showed her supposed ‘wicked side’ to this wicked servant. She’s lost the meanness and sense of superiority she felt she had over others which just leaves her character being way too immature feelings and rather boring. Friendly rivalries are fun but confrontation between characters is really what sparks a longing for a fight and this character was originally full of temperament ready to be expressed, now she’s just boring imo. Overall her personality in 5 showed a girl with a heavy need and insistence on looking down on others and feeling superior as a means of masking her insecurities about her height and to look down on others excessively before they can do so to her. That’s just not really seen at all anymore sadly.

Some characters still have two win poses, and a few missing from DoA5. Nyotengu one tells you everything. She licks her lips seductively in previous game, but here, she wants a burger lol

Gorgeous and sexy = ✓ Nice ang funny = ✓ Naughty and flirtatious = ✓ Has a career = ✓ Loves to have fun = ✓ Loves to drink = ✓ Best DoA girl/waifu confirmed. ❤️ This theme fits her, her model/fashion designer career perfectly and I like the vibe. She has pretty nice outfits as well but... I don't really like her in Kimono tho... I prefer her much more with the "Wild Wind" and purple version "Aventure" costumes.
