The Aeroscout is a good RC plane. I have flown it with the landing gear, the wheels on, and off. While you might get a more aerobatic flight performance with the landing gear removed, as you did in this video, the plane doesn't do very well on belly landings, the wheels are robust and can handle landing on hard surfaces, or grass. So I would keep them on. While the crash stinks, 1) that's part of flying r/c planes, helicopters, or even r/c cars and 2) the plane, if used gently, flies gently and self-corrects in flight when in Beginner mode. Aerobatic flying is exciting, but you are exponentially more likely to end your flight in a catastrophic crash when doing that, vs gently buzzing around a park in large circles.

Crashed mine into oblivion last fall...salvaged all the electronics just need to find another small plane to put them into, lol

I just got one of these. Putting the upgraded edf and esc in it before I try to fly it.

I have two, they are absolutely trouble free planes. The first thing to do when unpacking the box is to take the Reflex V2 and throw it far away. To be sure, bury it in the ground. My first Kingfisher was sent to the ground by Reflex.

The rudder is very effective on the futura for sure. I actually ended up adding about 30% expo on my rudder and kept everything else at 20% expo and that helped alot

Please pardon my motormouth, but did you have a battery change at the 5" point or fly it to 11 minutes.......if 11 min. that is really pushing it. Doing so at a minimum will probably shorten the battery's life. Also, your flaps at the maximum was about at a 80-85-degree angle to the wing. If you reduce that to 45 degrees at the max and 25-30 degrees for take off; plus program a little down elevator flap performance will greatly improve.

I have no experience with high speed RC Airplanes and Jets of any kind but you seem very comfortable and confident with your EDF F-16 Thunderbird Jet Will. You definitely have come a long way forward in your RC Flying Skills since I started watching you fly the Hobbyzone Carbon Cub 1.3 meter Airplane just one Year Ago. I had same thing occur during windy day a while back. Side note: Did you feel adding the afterburner made it lose power??? I felt like it did...just went to an Xfly EDF (no afterburner) and will make first flight thing weekend.
