If youre ever in Tulsa again, gi to Kellyville Oklahoma. An old historic town, look into the old abandoned rock building at the center of the town.

Now you just need to take a picture with your Phone of the page. Then get the text and process the text into a csv then make code that reads it and interpolates and you are done with the homework.

yoooooo respect! I finished a thermo mod this semester too, cos i'm in chem eng. i've been using python to do all my interpolations as well as to plug and chug formulas. the best use case for it was for numerical solutions - i'll take Newton's method over guess and check any day :) later on i even found a way to integrate those scripts into excel with xlwings. i've only ever used python (in a coding intro mod) and a bit of matlab, but approaching problems with coding is really fun in general!

Imma be honest. I am a computer science major doing chemistry as my required science, idk if physics is required but i had the option of that or chemistry so I chose chemistry. We just did simple Thermodynamics this week and this video just combined 2 things that I am doing in a learning way. I love this!
@DevinDTV29 күн бұрын
why did you start that comment with "imma be honest" as if you were about to say something hard to admit
@Jarevonum200429 күн бұрын
@ the term “imma be honest” can be used in many ways. In terms of admitting or just be honesty. I was meaning in terms of being completely honest as the video is helpful and relatable and not just a cool thing to show as a person who knows code and taking a class on thermo. I hope this helps :)

If you use Python or C++ at all, there is an awesome library called CoolProp for working with refrigerants/steam. Would recommend 100%. It has wrappers for stuff like Matlab and js (and even Excel) too if you are more comfortable with those tools, but I haven't tried them myself.

The next step is including the tables in your code and you only have to enter your parameters and it returns the closest point near your parameter and the result of the interpolation

save ur table into a csv file and use pandas! edit: wait, you don't use python, my bad. perhaps your language has some built in function, or an existing module, for that purpose?

epic win for using the p5js editor to code your homework lol. you could have just used the lerp(start, stop, amount) function though I think. Also I've found that Desmos is much faster for visualizing and doing pure math things than p5 since you don't have to code the display yourself.

I mean the goal of these homeworks is that you learn how to do it so writing code to do it should even be encouraged because that proves you know exactly how to work out a general solution and how to calculate it
