It's always been a dream of mine to deadlift 225 lb, and I finally did it! My form could use some work, but I'm so proud of myself for accomplishing this goal 🎉

I've used liquid IV and I like it but I think it's a little too expensive. I didn't know they have a sugar free option though, I'll have to try it.
@movewithmarie3 ай бұрын
That's how I feel too! I recently discovered that they sell Liquid IV at Costco so it's a little cheaper there. Yes, try it and let me know what you think. There's white peach, and I think the other sugar free flavor is lemon lime!

@@movewithmarie oooh, lemon lime sounds like a better flavor for me :)

Save this 🔖or screenshot so you know how many reps you should be doing for your goals! Power - 🏋♀️ If you want to work on maximum strength and really want to know how heavy you can lift for a 1 rep max or 3 rep max, then 1-3 reps and heavy af weight is for you! Strength - If you want to focus on strength where it's still heavy and not necessarily maxing out, then 5-8 reps at a pretty heavy weight will work! My favorite is doing 5 sets of 5 reps 🤗 It makes me feel so f/cking strong! Hypertrophy - This is where you want to build muscle 💪🏼 This rep range can vary, but typically 8-12 reps is a sweet spot. The weight shouldn't be extremely heavy but still challenging, especially in those last few reps. Endurance - 🏃♀️ You're more focused on the number or volume of reps with lighter weight or bodyweight! This is usually 15-20 reps! This rep schemes are general rule of thumb and can vary for each of us. What might work for someone else may not work for you. It's all about experimenting and seeing what works or not!

Think of form as the foundation of the lift, just like a foundation for a house. If you don't have a solid foundation for your house, then you stop remodeling, renovating, and adding to it until you've fixed the foundation! Same thing for lifting weights. Don't add more weight or make it more complicated if your form aka foundation isn't 100% If you can't master the form, then you can't master the weight. I'd rather you be safe and do it correctly and then eventually make it heavier or more complex.
