Our hunter uses NR while pulling the wasp room. Typically no one else uses NR. We will sometimes use GNPPs for the poison-spitting wasps at the beginning. --- Here's what I understand about AQ20 trash: You should unboon world buffs for the first pull. The first few rooms are some of the most dangerous pulls in the instance. Qiraji Gladiators - Have an AOE cleave that hits melee. - Only fight one at a time. Druids can root the other one. Druid should be ready to recast root if they get a resist. Druid can LIP/Petri if they get multiple resists. Have a hunter pull groups one at a time in the first big room with patrolling groups (2:00). Pulling two wasp groups is a petri-level threat!!! We have lost 3 players to a bad pull. If you pull a wasp and a spinner group then offtank needs to pull spinner out of the raid. Priest should have a shield on hunter as they pull. Hive'Zara Stinger/Hive'Zara Wasps - Kill wasps first. - Wasps will put poison on the raid. It should be cleansed immediately. If you get too many stacks then it either stuns you or does a massive amount of damage (can't remember which). Shamans in every group with poison cleansing totem is recommended. GNPPs can help but you still need to cleanse. - Shamans can and should use grounding totem. - Stingers will charge someone that is far away. We park the hunter pet behind the raid to soak the charge. Qiraji Swarmguard - "Spinner" will use aoe whirlwind. Should be tanked away from clothies. Pull out of raid if you pull one with a wasp group. Obsidian Destroyers - Will explode if they get to full mana. Kill them before they get full mana. If raid dps is low then you will have to drain mana. Anubisath Guardians - Have random abilities - Can summon adds - Raid should be stacked in one spot on a pull. Being spread out can kill people if boss is meteor - Can cast plague on random players. Plagued players should step out of the raid - Have a 50% chance to explode at low HP. Either kill them quick or have the raid run away. I asked Polyblankg for his advice. He's the hunter pulling in this video. Here's what he had to say: So I wear my AQ40 NR gear set (and also run Aspect of the Wild) just to be extra careful because in the past (in Softcore back in Classic 2019) I remembered getting hit by wasp charges and it was a lot of nature damage, so wearing the NR gear helps avoid that. It is not strictly necessary for anyone on the Horde-side to wear NR gear for that section really so long as everybody is really quick & thorough with dispelling the poisons as soon as the itchy debuff counts down to 0 (Alliance may need to be extra cautious since their paladin/druid dispellers may not be as quick as shaman poison cleansing totems are). GNPP's for the poison wasps at the beginning are helpful as well to prevent any damage that does get through (and it might even save someone's life if they end up eating a full poison-charge which does like 4,500-6,000 nature damage unbuffed). What I find is really extra helpful is if everybody in the raid can carry Elixir of Poison Resistance because those are really useful for insta-cleansing poison from a player (and they don't share a potion cooldown) in the event that you get poisoned and your healers don't poison-cleanse you fast enough. Our hunter pullers for AQ20 are not spec'd into Wyvern Sting, although we do have enough points into Survival to get 3/3 Surefooted (for the +15% resistance to CC's) and 2/2 Improved Feign Death (for the reduced chance for Feign Death to be resisted). Being deep enough into the Marksmanship tree to get to Scatter Shot is also really huge for pulling the AQ20 packs, since they can all be temporarily stunned by Scatter Shots. You also need 3/3 Hawk Eye for pulls. It's also worth noting that we have the entire raid unboon before we begin pulling any trash in AQ20, since the starting packs with the Qiraji Gladiators hit extremely hard (this also helps the AQ20 hunter puller not die in one hit just in case they do get hit by something). You could show them the logs from some of our AQ20 runs as well. --- I would also show them what happens when things can go (very) wrong, like this pull that I did where 3 people got killed in HC (UBMP, Foxo, and Cyanate): kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX7Yko2EoMlmrKc It's extremely important that their hunter-puller for AQ20 is very patient (just don't worry about buffs ticking or whatever and take your time with every shot and make sure that there's zero chance of chain-pulls in that section). The mess-up there was that I shot one of the Qiraji Swarmguards as they were running left-to-right. You always want to hit them when they're moving from right-to-left instead because their position on the server is actually further ahead of where their graphic shows that they are due to them patrolling at such high speeds. Also they chain their friends and can chain wasps from very far away. It's also worth noting that on the two wasp packs that patrol in circles around Kurinaax (the first boss of AQ20) one of the common mistakes I see made there is that hunters will get just a little bit too close to Kurinaax and then he'll body-pull (he pulls from like 50-55 yards away) so you need to make sure that you're totally max-ranging the shots on those two packs that fly around him. --- The other thing that you should mention to this person is how we do the pulls on Ossirian's 8 Anubisath Guardian mobs, which is by having eeeeverybody in the raid stack up so that nobody dies to Meteor, then pet-pull one mob at a time. You should explain to them how we set up to avoid plague, thunderclap, shadowbolt volley, and meteor in that part of the dungeon!

Poly mentioned the Anubisath Guardians lastly. I touched on that in my prior response. Stack as one for the whole raid. Not stacking can result in deaths due to meteor. Meteor spreads the damage equally among everyone it hits so if you are not stacked then people can die. Send a pet in to pull the guardians. Pet does not need to be at full hp. The sooner it dies, the better. You want it to die quickly and have the guardian run to the raid. My understanding is that plague cannot happen in the AQ20 guardians. If people get plagued then it's okay to spread out. Plagued players MUST run out of the grouped-up raid. There's 8 total guardians. You must clear all of them before pulling Ossi. Check the whole room to make sure you didn't miss any.

You are correct that I should have been yelling the whole time. Unfortunately, I completely lost internet for the duration of my DC. They could not hear me on discord. Sicks shared a VOD of his perspective. The guild did not hear my call saying I was lagging until I had started taking damage. At that point, it was too late for them to act.

It helps, so long as you aren't behind on heals. There's a couple abilities that warriors cannot cast while silenced e.g. battle shout, demo shout, etc. They can help the tank get some early aggro.

BRD is such a huge instance with so many different mechanics. I think it would be really hard but maybe possible. I imagine a fully decked-out engi warrior might be able to make it happen. You would have to wait for cooldowns a lot and diamond flask. Some fights might need to be cheesed. Hard to imagine anyone trying that in Hardcore!

check out the channel joyuniverse. seen the player do quite a bit of solo content, and he ended up getting a solo emp kill, which means he survived of course :) so... technically possible. He wasn't even that geared. But thats the skip everything you can kind of solo.

My new priest "Eshakez" is level 36 right now. I still have my warrior Rebaser at 59. It will be a bit before I have fresh level 60 content. I've been publishing some older videos from my vault to fill in the gap. "Eeshakez" is dead so if you see that name with the two leading e's then it's an older video.
