Great conversation! To add to the topic of languages- the deep state, sadly, in Pakistan has been trying to bring everyone into one fold and enforcing Urdu on all ethnic groups. The beauty of their own languages is diminishing. We are promoting Urdu but at what cost? Urdu is doing to ethnic languages, what we are trying to protect Urdu from. The new generation of these ethnic groups cannot even read their mother tongues. They have been removed from their curriculums. You go to these places and even the signs are in Urdu. It's a sad thing what we are doing in the name of "national unity". Diversity is never a threat.
