Thank you for your interest in the project. In response to you comment: Government trunk road schemes such as the A465 are delivered under the powers of the Highways Act. This legislation does not allow for land to be purchased for a commercial venture such as a service area. The scheme does provide a lay-by for east bound traffic and a rest area for west bound traffic. Development of a service area would be a matter for a private developer and the local authority planning department.

Great opportunity as part of this long overdue improvement to construct a "Services Area" on one of the adjacent empty plots of the Rassau Industrial Estate with easy access on and off the new road for both west and east bound traffic which would also create very much needed employment and business opportunities locally.
