Is this stock exhaust? Also how would you say the traction is on dirt compared to say a honda monkey?
@alxridepovАй бұрын
Hey, that's a stock exhaust :) The traction with stock tires sucks... I don't know about honda monkey, but at both it depends on tires and skill level. XSR is more like a scrambler. And when I made this video I was a total noob at offroading. So consider both :) Cheers!
@venomvideos855Ай бұрын
@@alxridepov Sounds very nice, in my opinion better than the aftermarket stuff, at least from what I can find on KZbin. I already have a Honda monkey but want an xsr as well as it has a bit higher top speed, just curious if I will need to replace the tires or if stock will suffice.
@alxridepovАй бұрын
@@venomvideos855 I agree, the stock exhaust has a nice tone, don't really need an aftermarket on this one :) Stock tires should suffice for light offroading and rainy days. Until you start doing harder offroad, you'll be fine ;)

The thing I don't understand is Why blip ( Rev Match ) on a motorcycle that's got a slipper clutch ?
@alxridepovАй бұрын
Hey :) Slipper clutch is a rev-math help "aid", not a total bypass.
@akash-c4p5dАй бұрын
@@alxridepov Hey, The whole reason slipper clutch exists is to prevent the back torque caused due to aggressive shifts by providing a limited slip between clutch plates. The slip stays till the engine and the real wheel speed aligns thereby preventing wheel lock. The whole point of blipping the throttle is for the aforementioned reasons. I would say its an habitual practice 😉. Rev matching can be beneficial, Tis is how I would sum it. Safe riding..........................

Heat: what about if you wear trousers?
@alxridepovАй бұрын
Hey, in another test which I didn't record I wore trousers, but that didn't help much. I think the only solution would be some kind of heat-shield.

@@alxridepov I went to Triumph on Friday afternoon and tried the 1200 X: great bike, I liked the engine very much. I didn't suffer the heat, I had jeans and it was about 25°C here in northern Italy... I took a ride around my city for about 30 minutes. I guess it's different in summer, ciao!

Why dont you use the quick shifter? Nice bike btw! ;)
@alxridepovАй бұрын
Thanks man! The reason for qs, is because currently I'm in break-in period and I'm trying not to go above 6k rpm. QS doesn't work well at those low ass rpms and they even suggest to turn it off during this time, so clutch plates etc. everything gets breaked in properly :)
