I like that, when she finishes, she doesn't quickly turn to salute the judges. A lot of gymnasts are doing that and cheating their landings.

I totally agree - 'Ballet MG Elite style" is a big no no! Maggie got it so wrong! They need to slow down the Choreography and get rid of the Laurie over exagaratted finishes on skills. I feel bad being anything less than nice to this girl but telling her she is ready for International competition was a big mistake on the coaches. Give the girl the time to grow - doing well in US Junior division is a whole different ball game to International Elite. USA Gymnastics have had exceptional gymnasts over the last 12years or so, these new girls coming through this quad are no where near the same standard, but give them time and they might just shock us, i hope so. I hope this competition isnt too hard on Riley she seems like a sweet kid, its just that coach i cant stand!

Saffi The MG elite hand gestures really take some getting used to. I always thought Laurie's floor routine was way over the top as well. I think she just had a bad day and will succeed at the international level. She just needs to calm herself. Her coach always seems so mean though.

I think she will succeed - she only qualified elite a year ago and the competitive season is just beginning. She needs more time. I dont like her coach. I dont like a lot of these younger female coaches with Kim and a few others as exceptions. Maggie I think genuinely cares about the kids at the time until the next big thing comes along. She is the one who choreographs the routines, this one routine was def. a mistake, give her something dramatic - look at Elena Piskun routine from 93 Worlds, something along these lines, dramatic and not a lot of dancing her 94 routine has a bit more difficulty but you get the meaning.

c'est un saut un peu facile, pour rivaliser avec les meilleures, surtout les Américaines, elle font toutes mini 2 vrilles.
