I have this on Adam Swanson's CD, Rare and Rip Roarin Rags of 1912. I had no idea it was by Henry Lodge. He's one of my favorite ragtime composers!

I have watched this series so many times I practically know it by heart. The saddest series I’ve watched. This song is perfect. Love your piano version. ❤

Greatly enjoyed your playing, but don't you think the 'original ' part should be a little bit faster? It is all very good anyway. Best wishes.

I hear a sweet and sour memory. The tune is playful, yet subtle and sombre at distinct intervals. It is the perfect balance of beauty and bleakness, as well as just the perfect tune to reminisce upon pleasant moments and disheartening failures. This piece really relates to all of us as human beings--learning to grow requires accepting both the sweet and minty tastes that this candy cane called life can and will leave in our mouths.
