The thing about doing any SD song is it’s iconic in the vocals and the arrangements. Most covers don’t get it right in one or the other but this one delivers in spades!!!!

Translation: "Tried to warn you about Chino and Daddy G" Chino was slang for Marijuana back in the day. Daddy G. was G.Gorden Liddy who was the Attorney General in NY at the time.

Nice take on my favorite Steely Dan song. Lead guitar solo finish was really good but nobody can match Skunk Baxter's play. The return to high school bit was hilarious.

This is so Fockin good!! SD so hard to play. Ancient keyboard player here…. You making it look easy. Extra respect to those lady background singers - they know they are a lick sound layer. Soft but thick and syrup. And respect at any bass player doing steely dan. So good! 👍🏻 👍🏻

My old school hired convicted felons as teachers . They believed in corporal punishment for first graders. I got my share. They were training me not to be anti-semitic, and they wanted an all Yiddish/ Jewish public school . Every teacher was a nonuniversity non high school graduate immigrant and CIA KGB approved. Some were outright Nazis. One was deported for war crimes. This was in New York state in the 1960s and 70s .
