It is the case that non-water-soluble polymers such as the ones you listed, do not tend to perform well in aqueous biodegradation tests such as the OECD 301B test. However, some customers do elect to evaluate their polymer materials using these OECD 301B types of methods for the purpose of formulation development and product design. The second question mentions a different type of testing altogether. ASTM G21 is antifungal testing, which we also conduct as part of antimicrobial testing scope. There is no implied correlation between antimicrobial testing and biodegradation testing.
