It was a big blessing in disguise that we lost the Play Off final to Southampton. If Leeds go up next summer, I finally feel confident that with Struijk, Tanaka, Ramazani and the depth of the whole squad that we have a really good chance of staying up with perhaps 3 or 4 key signings. Feeling much more confident than would have been if we had won the Play Offs and got promoted. I don’t think we would have signed Tanaka if we had been promoted and he’s the lynchpin of this years side!

We definitely have an identity and a style now. Think it was you that earlier in the season said you could not see what we were trying to do. Also extremely pleasing to see we are mixing it up with crosses and long balls from our back line. This to go with our tiki-taka. Rothwell/Tanaka are able to move the ball faster than Gruev/Amp.

Think this league is between Leeds and Sheffield United and the rest can follow. That’s my honest opinion.

A plus Goal Difference is a realistic extra point buddy it’s vital at the end of the season buddy.

This is the biggest take from the match - Farke made a Sub at 56mins!!!! I was shocked - I had to look at my watch. Re Burnley - we weren't playing as a comfortable team then. Excellent - SofaScore awarded Struijk with MotM. So important for the team moral if the captain earns it. BTW Solomon was so instrumental in the game. The haters need to think again. Having now seen Sam Byram's goal - one thing comes to mind - WOW!!! Such a showman.

Still basking in the glory. What I was most pleased with is the pressure was mounting for Farke to turn in a points return on the road. Only issue is they score two goals where our keeper at 6ft+ couldn't lay a glove on them. Otherwise typically good analysis by you which I agree with!

Great to get the win and go top. We don't do things the easy way. 3 good goals and a og from Swansea. We need to keep foot on the gas and keep fighting till the end of the game, not sit back.

Schmidt is currently out injured, hes had a hernia operation. I agree with you, we need to push forward at the end of games rather than sitting deep for me attack is the best defence.

Internet issues were a dampener but commentary & chat were great again, and we grabbed the three points so it's a happy end to the weekend! Thought it was obvious who the subs were going to be and felt a little sorry for Solomon not getting the minutes to grab a hat-trick. Farke seems to put out a team he is sure will get the win and doggedly sticks with it purely because they *should* win. Given the number of chances we often create it's probably a natural way of thinking but that faith and the dropping off to protect a 1 goal lead both worry me; they're risky given our tendency to do Leedsy things.

Sorry to loose you before the end. That was a fantastic match. I was amazed as a couple looked Offside, but we had a break from the officials this time....but that wasn't the case. I watch the 2nd and Meslier really didn't stand a chance. The defence were not as good as normal. But Leeds were good for the win. Piroe's performance reflected the cover, and also he wasn't given the ball. Byram has a problem with being off-side. Schmidt has a hernia op this week, so wasn't fit to play.

If Byram hadn't been Off Side Solomon would have scored :) I thought Solomon was OK. I agree that we have such a great team, but we are not clinical enough. Re QPR - with that performance. How are they bottom? The GK/defence played well. For me - Leeds are too pedestrian. Is that Farke? is it that the team isn't changed to counter the opposition? Leeds playing at a higher tempo would kill off the boring rep

Great performance by us, let me say that again, ‘great performance by us’ There’s a theory in management/motivation based on ‘Catch them doing something right’ - sometimes even when we’re great we focus on how crap the other team was, or how we didn’t win well enough. Who cares?! Rooney wrote this game off before he set off for ER. Makes a change right? Teams usually want to risk everything to beat us. Smart use of resources from Rooney. (Farke could learn something in that dept) Playing for pride’s ok but rarely profitable. Sometimes better to keep powder dry for more winnable battles.
