Now all the hockey "experts" in Chicago will be calling for Richardson to be fired and Montgomery hired, as if Luke really got a real chance.

Is it his fault? By all means, no. But the players refuse to play for him anymore. They dont care. This had to happen as much as I hate it.

When Chiarelli was fired, Neely was President the. And he’s President now.. he will not fire his friend Sweeney. Charlie will have to fire both of them.

I’d take Mike Sullivan to coach the Bruins, but he’s McAvoy’s father-in-law 😂

Who Jim? The same guy that got a dui in Dallas and then tried to take home one of players wives so they got rid of him and now Boston players are done with this clown he should have never been hired in the first place because he is a scumbag.

Is it time to consider an offshoot of Small Talk for the absolute units you guys are interviewing? Talk about the meaning of life instead of Drake songs?

Coyle and Zacha are 3rd line centers at best, but aren't paid like 3rd line centers.

They're all overpaid in BOS because they don't grow 'em. And if/when they do, they sometimes have other problems (eg Seguin) that ruin it all.
@petrpumpkineater

I wonder how many guys are just beat up from mileage. BOS is a veteran roster. There could be lingering injuries like Makar & Toews have been playing thru

Most of them are out of shape. You can't plan for a lack of juice (Monty). Just heard another analyst point to their not being able to make their 45-second shifts. Now put into place the fact that they have not outworked their opponents...because they can't.

I do really think ovi is gonna sail off into the sunset after this season. He’s probably been dying to go back to Russia and never look back. Probably play a year or two in the K with his buddy kuznetsov then take over the presidency.

Pictures it if you will Ovi needs 3 goals to pass Gretzky he gets 2 in Pittsburgh on 1/18. Then all he needs to pass Gretzky is 1 goal on 1/21 which would be in Edmonton. Gretzky and Ovi would be in Edmonton. It literally writes itself

You can’t find a coach if you hire coach all the time you’re gonna fire him you gotta blame your GM mean Don Sweeney and Cam. Nelly should get fired. All three of them get fired. Not only one you keep on doing that. The team is not going nowhere.

After retiring 2013, Rick Dipietro is still getting paid $1.5 Millon by the New York Islanders, after he signed a 15 year contract in 2006, and will end year 2029, apparently his buyout never counted against their cap as part of the NHL's amnesty/compliance buyouts in 2013

We have a culture of snacks in Utah. People get food until the game starts. It's the same for Jazz games. I think players can tell the difference between a chant of encouragement over a jeering chant. Seems weird not to make noise for a player who is having an outstanding night and try to give them some encouragement.

The hosts were not very knowledgeable about urinal shapes in Utah, which is rare for a podcast of this kind. Wanting to share their newfound knowledge, one host included a picture of said urinal in today's show. Alas, this particular urinal had not been flushed. The mystery of who's piss filled the aforementioned urinal has not been solved to this very day.

When you guys do the interesting arena stories: there’s an interesting story behind why all of the lower bowl seats at the Panthers’ arena have Zimmerman printed on them. Jordan Zimmerman, minority owner in 2011, sponsored the replacement of the lower bowl seats, but only paid for a one year deal. He banked on them not replacing them after a year, and he was right, they’re still there

happy to hear hasso plattner get a mention because i also find him fascinating. he's basically a rare pokémon, you rarely see him but he's around at a good bit of games, but he doesn't do interviews or media at all. im pretty sure sometimes he just shows up to games with little warning sometimes. the only person regularly in contact with him afaict is the sharks president Jonathan Becher, who is pretty easy to contact on social media. super hard to track down. i saw him at the sharks prospects scrimmage this year (the first look at celebrini in sharks gear) since it was at the AHL arena, just him and his dog and his daughter in a suite from across the rink. he officially retired from all SAP positions just this year, so maybe he'll be around more? even if he is, i doubt he'll be very visible.
