Have a 6 year old interstate battery that has died on someone's truck 3 times in 3 days using only hazard lights for a few minutes (everything else off). There are no vendors near me that had a direct replacement so I wanted to upgrade them to agm and again no interstate batteries. Had to go with a platinum agm everstart. fresh off the shelf, installed, NO START lol, put the interstate back in NO START, got the owner gas and the pump safety failed so the gas just poured out and made a mess. massive hunger headache, traffic, just a rough day and the cherry on top? The tie down rail didn't fit the shorter battery so I had to go hunt down shims for the threads to hold tension to the nuts. Anyone wanna build a time machine? I miss being a kid...

Just made myself a lifepo battery.. it normally does not get charged😅 because of nearly zero internal resistance (ECU thinx it's charged so cutoffs the alternator) and doesn't charge at all when i stop and idle BUT idle consumption went down from 0.6l/100 to 0.4-0.5l/100. It charges only when driving, with 13.3 float voltage, or when motor braking at 14.5V..

What battery type for a 1952 Chevy with a 6 volt system. The car is only used as a toy and sits all winter. (Chicago). Standard 6v lead acid batteries only last about 2 years and the old girl needs as much juice as possible to start.

I Am trying to live off the grid because of the nazi electric company. What I have done so far Is switched everything over to 12 volts all My appliances and lights I have a generator and a power Inverter for stuff that can Not find a 12 volt version and I use Propane and a Diesel heater and Wood and Vegetable Oil can and Sterno can heat for heating and 12 volt electric blankets and heated clothes, for hot Water I use a Amazon Xverycan 20 L tankless Water heater and a hot Water return pump and circulate the Water In a hot Water tank but I want to use a wood stove to heat Water for cooling system I have a Water well and circulate Water through radiators but the problem Is batteries take over 4 hours to charge No matter how good the charging system Is running a generator uses mach gas plus premature wears out the poor Generator running at 3600 RPMs at this point I can Not afford the amount of solar panels required to charge car batteries Nor can I afford a windmill big enough to charge car batteries or afford to build a mini Bike Engine that powers a car Alternator that runs a lower RPM than a store bought generator so I was thinking how can I use Electric Car recharging station to charge 12 volt batteries would have to have a step down transformer from 240 volt to 120 volt for the 12 volt battery charger but the problem Is them charging stations are probably computerized and talks back and forth and of course they are Not going to give out the secret to build a circuit to solve this problem any Ideas 💡 Thanks.

I bought a replacement Interstate battery for my Honda Accord at Costco. It died in 4 months. I took car to a garage that sold Interstates and the guy almost went postal. He explained Costco has Interstates made to lower standards and only Costco can do warranty work on their fake Interstates. I did buy a new battery but after owning Interstates for decades, I will never buy another Interstate ever again. You lost a good customer!

Advance Auto pushes their Diehard AGM batteries. If Advance installs your battery, you have to pay $4.00 for the felt anti-corrosion washers. These felt washers are normally $1.00 for 2. No battery warranty if you don't buy them. Advance is grossly overpriced on their batteries at all levels. At Walmart my battery was $100.00 cheaper and a longer warranty. Advance pushes the AGM battery no matter what year of your vehicle. Never again going to Advance Auto.

I had an interstate battery installed from jiffy lube only two years ago, which now dies down frequently even with regular driving. Jiffy lube no longer keeps this battery and therefore they could not replace a new one with prorated warranty.

Interstate batteries are made by Johnson….the same company that make Walmart Everstart batteries, just different stickers.

I bought 4 1150cca Interstate AGM Batteries for my Semi Truck. I got tired of replacing lead acid batteries every year. I will Update a year from now.

My car battery keeps dying. Owner's manual says use a 60amp EFB100 battery. Dealer says battery is fine, just drive more. I fitted an AGM096 70amp battery. Problem solved. Screw the manual. Fit the biggest battery possible.

Don't buy Costco Interstate batteries! I just had one (AGM) go bad (125 CCA/850 new) after three months and all Interstate batteries now are prorated even failing the day after purchase! It cost me almost $30! And I was informed the quality of Interstate batteries has declined drastically! Especially if they are manufactured overseas (China or Mexico). Do your due diligence and be aware that a different brand may be better. Don't just assume Costco is cheaper or better. Some Costco warehouses have different brands, but be aware that other Costco warehouses may not have that brand to replace it.
