This was a cool vid. It is advertisement to get more people to volunteer for the classes but it did accurately show what CERT volunteers are trained to do. Forget major disasters for a minute, everyone needs this training just in case the boyfriend/husband falls off the roof while hanging Christmas lights. Once your family and friends are straight you actually know what to do in order to help you community if there is a real problem instead of wandering around looking at the sky. Hopefully you will never have to use the skills learned in CERT training (except for when that knife slipped as you are dicing up the onions). God Bless, J.R.

One person told me that she cooks her beans in huge batches (plain and without soaking them first) in a pressure cooker and then freezes them in yogurt containers. The whole process takes about an hour. - Beth

Yes I agree, this would have been more timely to have occurred during the elections. The problem is that the video was produced by Lane TV now Media Services. They are separate from LaneTubersCafe. In the future we will make in effort for such content to arrive in a more timely fashion.

The event that this video shows is Lanestock 2010. The Lanestock 2011 event committee is a separate ratified club. This club was not given the opportunity to view this video prior to publishing. Please change the name of this video to Lanestock 2010 or remove it until the 2011 ratified club has been included in the process. This is a Phi Theta Kappa event vid, not focusing on what we are trying to do THIS year - which is collaboration among the Council of Clubs groups.

"You may continue with your choice to smoke, but only in designated areas on Lane’s main campus." It is not a ban, it's a movement of the designated smoking areas to less traffic frequented areas. Areas in the parking lots. As far visitors go, I am not sure. They most likely will be given a warning by security.
