Good explanation and I am a fan of the old canteen cup. When just going out for an overnight I usually just take a freeze dried meal from Aftershock Preparedness. Heat the water in a canteen cup and add it to the pouch.

It took their kickstarter a while to send mine also. I received mine a few weeks ago. There is some static issues I've notice when I connect the b6 to my Sony camera did you have any issues? I'm not sure if it's a camera setting issue or it's the b6 itself. I also made an unboxing video you you don't mind checking it out.

@@ThePreparedManChannel I’d like to see real cooking in whatever you like to use. I’m into old school cookware. Not cast iron 😆 but carbon steel and aluminum. I’m not a backpacker anymore so, titanium ain’t my thing although I do own some. I prefer hard anodized aluminum and old cold handle pans like you showed in this video. Do you have a reflector oven? That’s my favorite piece of camping cookware.

How many nights have you done straight on the ground sleeping, I have the MSS but here in the eastern woodlands the black bag for winter and the green for the summer early fall..I have never had the need to sleep in all three ,but I always have a fear of creepy crawlers crawling in or a snake..so I haven’t used it yet like it was designed to do
@ThePreparedManChannel
@ThePreparedManChannel 3 жыл бұрын
At this point I honestly don't know. Camping doesnt even get really fun til day three or 4. HA! I typically camp in components of the MSS and not all of it until winter. Its just too hot otherwise. Multi day in a sleeping bag has its own rules, with airing it out, and all of that good stuff as well. I would suggest for the creepy crawlies. Permethrin. In my experience Sawyer products work best.

Clint theres similar ways for heavier trees too. The issue is with these small ones, just pushing them, they'll sometimes over flex and the top will fall out of them. I've saw a few people get injured when these trees snap in the past. Its the simple things that get us hurt in the woods. Thanks for watching!

Prepared man- 2:55 just curious what type of ceramic sharpening rod you were planning on putting in the ferro rod loop of the sheath? Could you provide me with a brand and model? Say Heah, The reason I went with the Saber Grind on my GNS is because its a 1/8" thickness, and what I'll be doing with it.,,.
@paulie4x1
@paulie4x1 7 жыл бұрын
Say Heah, Yeah, I ordered my GNS, YUP, I got the Saber Grind, and Yup, I got the 3V. I wanted to put some personal touches, like I do to some of my knives. But that nice lady, Elaine is her name, I think She's Mrs. Wright, and yes She's very pleasant. I asked her about What I wanted. She told me, Customs ate only available onve a year. She also said, their still working on last years customs, That shot me down, So I looked at was available right away, Because in my mind, I already had a plan, I have a 2Hawks Tomahawk that I needed to team up with a Woodlore Style Type of Knife, and with my Wicked Tough Saw Combo. So I l@@ked and believe it or not, I found one, Its a Saber Grind 3V GNS, The handle is a Coyote Black Mountain G-10 Handle that to me L@@ks Great., But wait, It doesn't stop there. I ordered my 2nd Ka-Bar Limited Edition, This one is the BK-39 Moses Bodies. Yup it came with the BK-5 and the Snody SnakeCharmer, its in the S35Vn, so I had a instant neck knife for my Trio. And aYup, I now have (3) BK-5's. I actually like the BK-5 because I like choils and it in my opinion is as good as my BK-7. The Moses Bowie is similar to my BK-20 Bundok Bowie, The difference between the two Bowies is the Moses BK-29 is a 1/4" shorter, but the tip is stronger. Yeah, their about 11" blades and a 1/4" thick, both are made in the 1095 CroVan, a pretty good steel I actually like better than just a 1095. Yeah, both Bowies just Dwarf my BK-9, Yeah, I like Bowies. But the coincidence of getting that Snody SnakeCharmer sure put a smile on me, What's the chances of that happening, Yeah, I really like the out come.,,.
