Estoy impresionado, que distancia puedes alcanzar con ese comando opst. Estoy interesado en comprar uno para una caña de 9,6' de línea 7#. Podría usarlo para pescar en costa la trucha de mar y la lubina, gracias. Un saludo.

Love the videos! Ive been fly fishing for a few years and am really starting to get the hang of it. Started doing the pull back nymping egg patterns for great lake steelhead. Looking at getting an 11' switch rod 7wt. I seem to have a tough time with my 9ft 8wt in bigger water.

So just to clarify My appoligies if you had mentiomed this.... Can I or should i use a Sink Tip with the 10' Ft Floating Tip? Thank you
@iainmacleod7998
@iainmacleod7998 24 күн бұрын
No ,never,this defeats purpose of the floating tip.With skagit think of it as half a tapered head on a normal flyline.The tips complete the full head.SO a floating tip completes the skagit to float flies.Sinking tip completes the skagit for underwater flies.

Hi James, how do you grab the line with the bottom hand? I typically pinch the line between my fingers and cork on the top hand, straddle the line over my reel and pinch the line again in the same fashion as the top hand does.

Hello Matt. You are a great caster and great fisherman. I still have my very first comando head you helped me purchase. I’ve bought many more since but I still have my first one. I don’t like mow tips so I bought opst tips. I called for information regarding my purchase. Thank you and I really like watching you cast. Can you make more of these wonderful videos?

Sorry to ask a dumb question but when Ed says 45 degrees. I’m thinking he means 45 degrees behind you? Then drift around upward. This was a topic of conversation with a few casting friends and we had a difference of perception of what Ed meant.

@@ChefAlexSocci I don't know about the new MS line up too,but I had known that SHS series few months ago,I asked for the information, no reply. Now I saw the SHS series is only 7wt and 8wt,disappointed. First I bought a full welled 4wt, is good lookin, then I bought a 3wt full welled version,but when I got the 3wt ,it is still cigarette shape upper handle, felt like I was cheated by someone,all the picture on OPST website were full welled version,the 3wt purchase option was label as "full welled",and did not mention the 3wt is a different option. The dealer can not explain anthing too. By the way,those rods works well,may be you'll get used to those apperance.

Your main guy doing videos literally doesn’t know what he’s talking about anymore, shouldn’t have treated your old reps who are some of the best swingers in the west like shit. Solid casting content tho 👏🏼 great angles 👏🏼 maybe next time you’ll get some 14” bull trout for the gram!

Thanks for a great video Ben. Question for you. I assume the shooting line does not float? Also....I noticed someone online talking about using Berkley big game mono for the shooting line. Would you please cover the pros and cons to OPST shooting line vs the Berkley mono method? Thank you so much. Shane
@OPSkagit
@OPSkagit 4 ай бұрын
The shooting line floats. The Lazar Line has less memory than Big Game and has a better-calculated stretch. Any memory is easily stretched out of the Lazar Line, and it has a hydrophobic coating that increases durability, float, and shoot ability.

OPST got my interest into spey casting back in 2016, I ain't picked up a single hander since. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one out here in NorCal fishing mid to small trout streams with a small "trout spey" rod. I tried scandi style lines, dug them for a bit but, you can accomplish the same thing with a floating tip on a OPST line just gotta keep your cast in the pocket "phonebooth" which I prefer for trout streams. All my lines for trout and steelhead are all OPST. Solid company. Keep it up with the quality product and videos.
