In VERY loving memory of Mr. Jimmy Dawkins (1936 - 2013 R.I.P. Gone but NOT forgotten).

Apologies and not to minimise what are I'm sure quite valid issues you've had. The only main reason I thought I'd comment is because your post was the first time I've come across someone complain about a major issue with the R24. And I've been in a lot of Zoom forums over the years. Do you think maybe you just got a bad unit? Hope things work out for you with your new gear, Cheers!🙂
@sebastians3202 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that. Been using my Zoom R 24 for more than 15 years now with no major issues. Used quite heavily both at home and travelling for events. Use it as standalone MTR and interface to Cubase to produce tracks, though I master mainly on Cubase. Discuss with other users quite often on forums on tips and tricks and a lot of us seem to have been using for years also. Was thinking of changing to TASCAM M12 or Zoom L 20 but they don't seem as practical and easy as the R24, though the new generation preamps are better.

I've had my Zoom R16 for just over 5 years with no issues. It's a great piece of kit. So sorry to hear you've been having issues with your recorder - but you don't actually say what they are.
@MarkThomas-mb2pr6 ай бұрын
I do say what the issues were on one of my videos, and I'm aware (and glad) that some folks get a Zoom product with no issues; however there are also a LOT of documented dissatisfied customers who've had issues. Super glad your Zoom is trouble free!

I really appreciate your watching and commenting, and I love Stevie, saw live twice, If I’m fortunate I might have a speck of him in me, and I’m indirectly inspired by him for sure, but compared to him I’m not even qualified to tune a guitar, let alone play one, LOL!

Great blues guitarist and vocalist. Been a fan for many years. My name is Earl C Dawkins and i too love playing the guitar and the blues. He deserves more worldwide recognition in my opinion. RIP Jimmy 🙏
@MarkThomas-mb2pr8 ай бұрын
I agree, most of the stellar musicians never got a fraction if any recognition due to them. I didn't know much about what I call REAL Blues (not Blues-Rock...) at first, until I started going to record shops and randomly buying Blues recordings from black musicians I had never heard of. Then later I landed my own Blues radio show at a station outside of Seattle. Well, they had a room full of records, some older and also new releases. In the Blues section I grabbed armfulls of Blues LPs and played them on the air, most of the music and musicians I had never heard of; and the were the BEST BLUES MUSICIANS I EVER HEARD.
@MarkThomas-mb2pr8 ай бұрын
... Continued: Then I went to Chicago and saw Son Seals and other local greats. Then came folks playing Rock and calling it Blues, still happening today IMO. So I made my Blues youtube channel, where I have do a radio show on video called KBLUES Radio; and I'm using that to try and get the real Blues out to folks so they can enjoy and appreciate the music and musicians. THanks much for watching and commenting, and I subbed to your channel.

I agree, this has the cool tones of an acoustic and is fairly loud unplugged, especially since the body is thin (but very comfortable when playing). I was going to get an acoustic with a pickup built in, but got this instead, really glad I did! It's really great for fingerpicking or flat picking. Thanks for watching!

Don't give up playing brother! I got discouraged once, and sold all my gear. Then I fiddled with writing some Blues songs after studying about Blues from listening to a ton of Blues records. After that, my playing started improving rapidly as did my confidence. Then I kept on as now listening to CLASSIC Blues and learning all the time. SO GLAD I PICKED UP A GUITAR AGAIN and went after teaching myself to try and play Blues. @@speaknoevil957

Simply amazed at how him, Albert King and Derek trucks play without a pic. I know Derek plays slide but when he doesn’t he does he not change the height of the strings all his fingers are on them. That is a skill. Mark Knopfler is another one who is a master at that.

Thanks much for watching and commenting, really appreciate it. When I was in 7th grade 1967 or '68 I got my first Hendrix albums, he and the Doors blew my mind and were my most fave bands. I really thought this riff etc. I came up with was influenced by my love for Jimi.
