Great Video, Did you have drill the washers to make the bolt fit in at the end ?. I`m just about to buy the bolts for a replacement motor. Thanks

suppose you only have to change the motor and no trubbleshootin on the electric...my motor goes then i fixed the badly constructed electric via car battery but not in place. no idea for me buy a new motor if the cables is disconected somewhere in car.

I sawed the arm off the old motor and knocked the wiper out with a hammer thus saving on a pulling tool. Also managed to reach inside and used nuts and bolts I already had this saving on blind bolts. Got a used motor off eBay for £24 plus £12 delivery. Happy total cost £ 36.

How did you tighten the nuts from the inside?

Thank you very much! I just replaced the rear wiper motor on my Kadjar which has the same system; luckily there are some openings which allowed me to instal normal bolts(M8)

Thanks, very helpful. My mark 4 Clio rear wiper arm looks about as loose as does yours when you test the whole assembly for wobble from the outside, right at the end. My problem is simply that as it wobbles, there is a rattle cum squeak as the whole assembly flexes, which of course it does as you negotiate poor roads and the noise is irritating! I had hoped to see the presence of nuts to tighten in the original fixings but sadly, none. Getting the cover off the inside of the tailgate was however a very useful insight - hopefully I can avoid breakage now!

If the squeak is from the rivets you could replace them. Any other issue with the unit you are looking at an expensive replacement maybe. I'd probably open it up and have a look but that's just me :) Thanks for watching

@@dinglut0000000 Yes indeed, opening it up did lead to the answer. Seeing how the trim on your Zoe came off, I repeated the exercise on mine though for others interested note there are 4 torx (T20) screws to release first then, as you said, pull hard to release the clips, pulling as straight off the tailgate as possible. Luckily on my 2015 car the motor is held by bolts not rivets and sure enough one was loose! So, easy fix. Just line up all the various clips before offering up the trim and using the side of a clenched fist tap it home.
