people always think that a children who play faster is better , in fact technic only technic and futur pianists are more meticulous robots than performers .

Incredible. apparently Henselt had abnormally flexible and giant hands capable of unique technique. Bravo!
@CLASSICALFAN1007 жыл бұрын
They all did. Rach, Horowitz, Rubinstein, all the rest. The era was one of guys with GIANT HANDS composing music for pianists with GIANT HANDS! (Oftentimes, they were one and the same!) Sviatoslav Richter certainly "qualified", too...

I dunno. He's playing it around 110. The Schirmer edition's marked tempo is 144, Vivace.
@danwu678410 жыл бұрын
Your music sound and finger movements are not matching. Are you really play? Sounds are much faster than your hands.

It's the video lagging. Some cameras do that. Mine can do it a lot.

Dahre' Miller Chinese camera components can't keep up with Chinese piano players, lol.

This is a wonderful conception by one so young. I can imagine he will play it throughout his life! Very careful to phrasing and detail--I like what he does at this stage of his musical development.
@adolphvonhenselt120812 жыл бұрын
the faster tempo like Rachmaninoff and other great pianists did, is the only one right tempo. But I think, it's not possible to perform it on a modern grand because of they are to heavy and slowly in action. Also it would be impossible for a child to understand this piece. But it is nice, that he tried

@nanshee7 Reason why no one plays it with dynamic changes is because Bach played on a harpsichord. There were no dynamic variations on a harsichord, only by adding more notes or subtracting could you alter the "volume". Many are taught to play Bach without much dynamic change or much interpretation, its already in the music.

@mkeysou812 Absolutely! This kid has tremendous innate musicality and beautiful tone. When he gets a little older he'll play it faster - and that is as it should be. Remarkably beautiful, and not like a child's playing at all.
@mkeysou81213 жыл бұрын
That's incredibly beautiful playing, plenty of virtuosos could take notes on phrasing and dynamics from young Scottie!

I find this quite sad, in the fact that yes, it's technically precise, but it lacks emotion and real soul. There aren't enough places for the piece to breathe, which is important with Bach. It shouldn't be so robotic.

look at second 59. Left hand is not where it should be with the melody you hear. It is still down doing the articulated notes... it should be up with the right hand doing the 16th notes. ...
