So the only lead a runner can take is a direct line to the next base? Get out of here. The runner's lead is the lead they establish.

Thats not an illegal runner.. thats impossible to make that call inside the baseline.. he’s running straight from his original run lane after swinging.. and where else is he supposed to go at first.. if he stays inside he takes out the first baseman.. this is where baseball gets nitpicky a little too much with replay

@TimeoutwithPSOAАй бұрын
There is no base path established until a defensive player in clear possession of the ball attempts to tag a runner. Runners can run wide while turning from first to second from second to third from third to home. No baseline unless a tag attempt is made.

1) That "one inch" goes both ways though, so a 23 1/2 inch zone would be just as "correct" as a 19 1/2 inch zone. 2) "By rule" the zone is still 17 inches no matter what you claim, because the rule says it's a strike when *any part* of the ball touches it. Adding the width of a ball makes it "the zone which the whole width of the ball must be completely inside of" but that is not the strike zone.

I guess it’s 7-9 guys in the field depending on the league you are doing poor coaches got 2 guys working left and right center 😭. Huge emphasis on this though as your partner on the bases I need to know when ball is in play and dead especially for pickoffs

It's foot past the knee on the rules not the rubber. Still not a balk though.
@CubeInspectorАй бұрын
The knee is generally in line with the rubber since that foot is on it
@robmcdougy8922Ай бұрын
@CubeInspector you don't stand with your foot on top of the rubber it's only touching the very front edge of it so going past the rubber with your lead leg/foot isn't a thing.

Isn't the running lane in foul territory? running lane in between the short white line on the left and the foul line? Someone explain.
@TimeoutwithPSOAАй бұрын
The runners lane is the fair foul line to the outside line in foul territory. Since the fair foul line is part of the runners lane portion of the runners lane is in fair territory. A runner can run on the fair foul line so they can run legally inside the lane and in fair territory as the fair foul line is in fair territory.

This was a ground ball. Is it different if it was a fly that hits the batter?
@jtkappy7742Ай бұрын
Only matters if theh are in fair or foul teratory. If you in the lines your out. That's why you take a lead at third outside of the lines and run back in fair. Stay safe then block the back pick
